Christmas Eve was suddenly a 50/50 shot!

My housemate called me down Saturday afternoon, because he had some pretty serious news to tell me. I went down, and then he stated the following: "One of my coworkers has been tested positive for Covid, and I have been in close proximity to him. I am scheduled for a test tomorrow morning, and the answer will come on Monday. I will keep you posted what the test says".

My immediate thought then was "Oh crap! If it's positive, then I will have to let my family know that I will not attend on Thursday", but his girlfriend asked the most obvious question: "Why not wear face masks indoors? Particularly since you are so close to each other", which was a valid question for any normal human being. Not for my housemate, that is. "That's a stupid question, we are walking closely all the time, so masks would be pointless".. But would they be pointless? We are wearing them when we are shopping, so why not when we are at work? I would assume that face masks would be mandatory when working in close proximity? Anyway, I digress on that one..

That means that my Christmas Eve WILL go ahead as planned, which is fantastic! Bring on the food! I look forward to that!

Yeah, here wearing a face mask is mandatory for people working indoors, as is the 2 metre distancing.

Quarantining if in close proximity with an infected person is chaotic, however.
The unmitigated selfishness of a few, creating utter misery and mayhem for the many.
WELCOME TO THE WORLD IN THE 21st CENTURY.
This doesn't make any sense, so today your friend got his test result....does he have covid or not? But if you have got covid you can still go and dine with family if you wear a mask......but your mother and brother have got covid anyway, right?
B: I am gonna write an update in a bit.
