Double you or double vee...
Depending on the font or if you are printing or writing cursive the letter "W" usually has a different appearance (pointed bottom or rounded bottom) but always has the same sound. The word plywood in an English speaking country is pronounced as it's spelled... (with a double-you)
However, in some Scandinavian countries it's pronounced ply-vood with a heavy 'V' sound.
I ask myself what's correct W? Double 'you' or double 'vee'
Is it UU or VV a question I've been asking myself.

And you're just being silly!!!
V to B sound... a bathroom vanity was usually pronounced 'banity'
'E' gets added before an 'S' so Spanish is pronounced Espainish.
And regarding the word "Spanish", whoever pronounces it as "Espanish" is making a huge mistake, simply because "Spanish" is an ENGLISH word, so it has to be pronounced, according to the English language rules: "Spanish" and not "Espanish"... Same would apply to a person that pronounced the word "Español" like "Spañol"... "Español" is a Spanish word and has to be pronounced according to the Spanish language rules: "Español" and not "Spañol"...
We have many different dialects.
Some say 'dub-b-ya' and others say 'dub-ya'
When I was a kid, my family moved to Miami ( my-am-e )
Some of the locals pronounced it 'my-am-muh'
