The late Phil Spector...

Born Harvey Phillip Spector on December 26, 1939 and died January 16, 2021 in California State Prison at the age of 81. It's reported his death was of natural causes.
Spector was an American record producer, musician and songwriter created what was called the Spector Sound or Wall of Sound where his productions incorporated a formula with recording and production techniques on his many recording for acts like the Ronettes, the Crystals, and Ike & Tina Turner.
His career lists productions included The Beatles, John Lennon, George Harrison, Leonard Cohen, the Ramones, the Righteous Brothers.

Phil was convicted of murder in 2009 for the killing of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003 and sentenced to 19 years in Prison.

Aside from all the trouble and drama in his life, pop music wouldn't be where it is today without the influence of Phil Spector.

Perhaps. But, where would Lana Clarkson be ?
An extremely mentally ill man..who unfortunately took it upon himself to hurt others...

The article I read, said he died from COVID...
More details from the Bloomberg/Quint website:
"Phil Spector, the music producer who went from the Wall of Sound to the walls of a California prison cell, has died. He was 81. Spector died on Saturday morning at an outside hospital, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement on Sunday. A medical examiner from the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office will determine the official cause of death. TMZ reported"

Focus on something positive:
One of the biggest hits of 1958 “To Know Him Is to Love Him,” a simple teenage ballad was written by Spector.
I'm not so sure, that the family & friends of Lana Clarkson would agree.
Point made Jim, however his musical accomplishments were 50 years prior.
He was sentenced to 19 years and died in prison.
Never Heard Of The Guy. violin
