Data on Allergic reactions to Covid 19 Vaccine.

Since the Misinformation is rife by the usual suspects, I thought some actual data from Doctors might be in order. Since this paper mentions the word "Anaphalaxis" Here is a definition from Wikipedia.

Heres the data

11 cases per million is 0.00011% chance. The misinformation peddlers are saying the disease is has only a 0.01% chance of death (actually approx 2.7%) and the high rate of reactions to the vaccine is a reason why you shouldn't take it.

In fact the rate of reaction is 1000 times less than even their lies about the fatality of COVID, and the rate of death is 0%. Its FAR safer than COVID-19 even by their twisted metrics.

You can read the rest of the paper by yourself. It's only 2 pages and an easy read.

Not much to say about anti-vaxxers - except, that they are, in the main, completely Mad...
Of course, I'm referring to adequately tested vaccines. Also, anaphylactic shock can also kill (that's quite serious, I'm led to believe). In susceptible persons, a single bee-sting can be fatal...
Anaphylactic reactions are extremely rare (the Dr has the epi-pen handy when giving the vaccine). I'd rather take my chances with the Vaccine, than with the Virus. I was merely pointing out that anaphylaxis is a serious condition....
What the?........confused , oh, ok, bye then.....
Just before I go, (forgive me m'lady for saying so): but isn't it the point of the blogs to express "opinions".....

That was all you,the rest is SirTs info.

BTW anyone who knows the severe reactions can easily obtain a EpiPen to have in a handbag or an emergency car kit.
?????Well, I thought so, anyway, silly me, doh
Well, Sir T, isn't online right now, is he? If he does not like (a comment) he is free to delete it.....(as I said) bye, bye, for now, Ta Ta, Toodle Pip, etc, and most importantly have some fun.............cartwheel cartwheel cartwheel
That aside... thumbs up
I commented only to assist those who have the lesser reaction, which you inferred, from being
lumped together with the other terminal reactions.
They can and do prevent their potential harm, whenever possible but unpredictable reactions can only be prevented with honest reporting on every incident.
Well, Sir T, isn't online right now, is he?

Twitter has even tried to close accounts that comment to their own self under another name.
Personas become the perception of a reader as well, an assumption or stereotype.

I do not venture into that particular chameleon

Sometimes real life takes a precedence.
I will leave that retelling to our old-timers.

If you will allow me to briefly hi-jack SirT,
Why would anyone set up a blog and then not allow others to comment on it? Seems like a contradiction does it not?
Some people trawl the net until they find someone who agrees with their opinion. What they're looking for is reinforcement of their view, sign of a closed mind.
cry me a river. riz I just posted it you did not watch it.
Seventeen (81%) of 21 patients
with anaphylaxis
had a documented history of allergies or allergic reactions, including to drugs or medical products, foods, and insect stings.
That is me and why I can not chance it.
Do you think I should, and use the antidote.
BS at its bestbarf
Yes Luke, I may need the tracheotomy.thumbs down
Well, you have to remember a lot of people here (guess who) habitually delete comments that prove they are full of it.

Some people are not interested in thoughts but to push a false idea of the world. They want to create a flat earth.
Obvioulsy I'm not a doctor. but the report also says

(1) None, zero, of the reactions were FATAL

(2) That's 17 out of 1.9 million people. I dont think that there were only 17 people in that group that had serious allergies. The report oes not say, but I am willing to bet that there was 1000 people in that group with allergies. If I told you that only 17 people out of 1000 people with serious allergies would ahve a reaction and that reaction would be non fatal it would sound a lot better, wouldn't it?

(3) There was no, zero. Bells Palsy reaction, and Bells Palsy is treatable in any case. You mentioned bells Palsy too.

Frankly I think you are looking for excuses not to take the vaccine and wouldn't want to take it if there was a zero chance of a reaction (just in case)

Basically take the link and discuss it with your doctor. I'm pretty sure he would say a Tiny risk of a reaction would be worth it, and if they know you have allergies they will observe you in the half an hour after the dose to respond if you have a reaction. That;s being armed with knowledge and using it to prepare, not using knowledge to avoid doing the right thing.

In Africa they have people fighting the Polio vaccine with lies that its being poisoned. Polio is a LOT less dangerous than COVID-19, 95% of people who contract Polio have no symptoms, and 90 % of the people that do have flu like symptoms for a week. Its a baby compared with COVID-19

Two new Covid-19 vaccines are soon to be approved.

One from J & J was only about 66% effective (72% in US & 57% in South Africa) in preventing getting the disease, but none of the 20,000 recipients died from Covid-19. Thus, it seems effective in preventing the worst cases of the disease. It also only requires one dose and does not need sub-zero temperatures for storage.
The difference in effectiveness in different countries, may be due to viral variants.

The second is from Novavax. It had a 89% effective rate in the UK 15,000 person phase 3 trial), but also was much less effective against the South African variant.
All, be mindful of the differences between effectiveness, and efficacy, as typically used in science on these topics. Never forget, that there's often considerable political influence on much scientific research, and it can be worse when the profit motive is also at play. Saint VIERK, the shorter.

Whatever.
Re vaxes & the Profit Motive -
Especially(!) when that profit motive is coupled with immunity from legal action for any damages. If a makers NEEDS that kind of protection for its vax, might they be more apt to cut corners? ... uncertain

OTOH -
Some folks are concerned that vaxes developed so quickly weren't tested adequately.
The Extremely short development time has been explained by the vaxes being developed from existing vaxes for similar viruses such as SARS & MERS.
So I guess that's Kinda reassuring ... smile

Physicians, well perhaps in time. But whenever an allergy comes around, I first listen to what my Rice Crispies tell me, after the milk hits the bowl. Sort of like crystals, energy fields, the I Ching, and certain great Books.
Good point, MM. But lots can happen with so much going on at those levels of biology. That's really what is behind post marketing surveillance of drugs.
