How would you define aDemocrat?
Republican?
Independent?
Is this statement true?
Generally, the left-wing is characterized by an emphasis on "ideas such as freedom, equality, fraternity, rights, progress, reform and internationalism" while the right-wing is characterized by an emphasis on "notions such as authority, hierarchy, order, duty, tradition, reaction and nationalism".
I get confused when a guy calling himself a Independent can only speak well of the Ultra left. Does this mean that an 'Independent' is a confirmed leftist or could an 'Independent' also be Far Right?
How many 'left, right wings' are there in the USA. Left, Far Left, Ultra left etc?
All the above shit is quite confusing to a guy that tries to avoid politics.

It seems to me at times there are some that are ashamed of the party that they support. I could be wrong though.

Agreed, cos pre-election many of the so called right and left supporters many a time did not always 'let on' as to who they really supported. Reading some comments back then gave me the impression that they were ashamed to admit openly if he/she was right or left.
Anyway that's how I felt back then and I guess many will say I'm exaggerating. Who cares?
If thats the case and you are in agreement with their findings I must apologize as I read you leaning way to the Right.
Apparently I qualify as a Conservative, even though a Moderate sprung more to my way of self assessment. This once more proves I'm a hopeless judge of character when it comes to politics.

As far as Presidents go, I think they promise a lot. and expect to have two terms to accomplish it (re-election).
The President's past experiences to me are also part of the criteria.I lean towards economics or foreign
policies. If he tends to focus on foreign aid, foreign
policies, then I would see the economy here tanking.
Tanking either by either definition of the word.
An economy based on war does not get my vote.
