I'm a little reluctant to disclose the site in question, as it is similar to this one with all the little emoticons etc, I just have a feeling it is owned by the same organisation. I don't want to get my profile removed. Hint,.... 'they belong in the sea'

Was the site a free site? They may have just been compiling demographics on their users, which is integral for businesses. It doesn't mean they were going to sell your private information (check their privacy policy) or do anything with the information but use it for general user profiling (a snapshot of user demographics).

Supposed to be plenty of fish there, but I found the pond to be severely understocked. moping

I also could not find any way to actually delete my profile from that pond; I finally gave up and just blanked everything out and never went back... catching is fun, fishing forever not so much though. dunno
