Chesney no matter what you think of the royals---they have stopped a dictator in this country
They do not go and behead and kill people ---like some Arab countries do
They bring in revenue to this country
Which person do you know has dedicated a full life to this country and common wealth.

Australia operates as a Constitutional Monarchy, (mainly because of historical ties); however, this system has been proven to be stable, and resilient. I'm a Monarchist, in the sense that I believe in this system (it is stable and effective). Many people in Oz are in fact Monarchists, for the simple reason that one couldn't trust many Politicians in an open-ended Aussie Republic. Corruption would likely ensue, rapidly selling us down the river, to likely end, in fact, as a Bannana Republic......
Let's face it, English people are slow learners... Megan is to the royal family what Yoko Ono was to the Beatles.
