Blog bickering...

Scanning blogs while I'm on the phone with customer service to cancel a dental plan I cancelled in January... but the billing department didn't get the memo.

There will always be difference of opinions in blogs (and forums) because people are... people.
Someone said something that offended someone else and 5 people decide to make it their business too.
Daddy said we cannot post political blogs so I can complain, except when I post a political blog.
My dog is smarter than your dog and his credentials don't mean a hill of beans in my country.

Here I go with the "Logically Speaking" since a small percentage of the bloggers aren't genuinely seeking a relationship (the reason isn't important) due to _________ I doubt it would it really affect CS if 1) comments weren't allowed on blogs 2) blogs disappeared completely.
That would stop the bickering real fast!

Change of topic:
I'm not sure what site it was on but statistics were posted for every member. The other members knew how many messages were sent, received and read. I believe you were prompted to message other members in a 'shit or get off the pot' participation. It also gave statistics to how man messages were deleted without being read. Woah... with information like that... I'm thinking, why bother sending a message to someone who deleted all of them without reading a single one. Members who didn't actively contact other members dropped in rank and became invisible until they started back messaging other members.
Interesting concept.

If it's an auto-billing issue, perhaps they ignored the cancel notice in order to get as many payments out of the customers as possible. For some it may take months to notice, that they are still paying for a cancelled plan. Some may die before they notice.

It reminds me of an extreme situation with my (now deceased) aunt. She responded to a TV for a free trial of pills to help with memory loss. As we all predicted, she forgot to cancel the free trial and was getting billed for over $100 a month for useless pills. They knew who their target was, someone suffering from memory loss, and capitalized from it.....monthly. thumbs down
On the same line my sister-in-law tried to cancel vitamins sent through the mail that somehow doubled in delivery and automatic billing. All attempts to call customer service was endless waiting on hold.

My suggestion: Call their toll-free sales number.
The call was promptly answered (by someone thinking they were going to take a new order) and she was able to be transferred to billing for cancellation.

laugh
That's exactly what I did on my aunt's behalf and then we went down to the bank
and had stop payments (bank debit card) put on that billing source.
