Perhaps this is the same video;
Here's the Link to the 1st Vid ...
How could a veteran cop mistake a glock for a taser...
Very sad indeed...
How a veteran officer could have mistaken a Glock for a Taser in the fatal shooting of Daunte Wright
“They feel differently in your hands,” one expert said of the two weapons.
Overreacting...fear...it just seems senseless...his crimes were minor...not worthy of being tased or shot...
Previously, she resigned from the police force.
The man killed was resisting arrest, which is a crime.
She yelled "Tazer, tazer, tazer" as a warning before she pulled the trigger.
She made 2 mistakes. #1. Wrong gun. #2. No one is supposed to be in contact with the person
when a tazer is fired. Otherwise that other person can also receive the charge. He was strugging with
another officer at the time.
That's not only an unkind thing to say, it's not usual for you to be so condescending
Yelling "Wet Noodle! Wet Noodle!" before stabbing someone makes everything Awright.
Condescension aside - Is my Conclusion Wrong??
I.E. - Based on Jim's C&P ...
The OFFICER mistook her Right and Left ... Wright's dead.
I don't see a Whole lot better way to Put It.
BUT - Back to the OP ...
Comparing the two vids - is/are there Any thing(s) Obviously present in One and Conspicuously missing in the Other??
Look ... And Listen ... REAL Closely! ...
Specifically! @ the 0:47 & 2:05 time marks, respectively.
Don't Over think it - It's really Quite Obvious.
The Differences in the two vids Are -
The gun in the 2nd vid Noticeably produces a Report (Bang) - Recoil (Kick) - and Muzzle Flash.
ALL of which Will take place when guns of the type in Both vids are Fired.
And NONE of which apparently take place in the 1st vid -
The Body Cam footage of the Daunte Wright shooting.
Presumably, cops wear Body Cams to provide Evidence in incidents such as Officer Involved Shootings.
From the Body Cam footage - I(!) see NO Evidence(!) of a gun being Fired.
No Bang - No Kick - No Muzzle Flash.
This strikes me as Extraordinarily Anomalous.
Yes there was a difference in the videos that you pointed out...hmm...something is not right...
Mic might be menopausal...
I'm not a regular on the Blogs but occasionally I'll pop over to see what you folks are talking about.
Perhaps some clothing was obscuring the microphone part of the cam.
She only shot once and our view was from behind the gun, so the flash would not be as evident.
The other video is taken from the front and the audio is quite clear throughout.
Lastly, it's not clear that the gun she had is necessarily a Glock.
Calling her a menopausal meter maid is both inaccurate and demeaning.
However, it seems that she made a very unfortunate grave mistake.
I do have empathy for her...I doubt I would be able to live with the guilt...I wonder if her pension is no longer applicable...
I'm sorry I missed your comment
at the time friend.
He was shot and also crashed the vehicle after he drove away.
I'm not sure who else could have shot him.
She admitted on the video, that she shot him.
It seems most likely, that she did.
We put a potato on the end of a long riffle 22 cal some noise reduction but no way close to a muzzle.
I feel sorry for her too. She has been a police officer for 26 years and loyal to her job.
The story in the media is that she quit. More than likely she retired. If she retired she still gets her pension.
Personnel probably talked her into retiring rather than quitting.
You can be sure that every cop on that force is going to support her.
People who say something like.........a cop killed a kid for having an air freshener.
That's not why the kid died. He was stopped for having an air freshener. When they ran his plate they found he had a outstanding warrant. That's why he attempted to get away.
Anybody who is stopped and tries to run away is going to be at the end of a gun.
It is such bad timing...like it looks bad all the way around...she will pay for it...the public is outraged...I also see their point...too many minorities killed...but Chauvin should get the book thrown at him...it was no accident he showed malice IMO...
We had a African American Man not long ago had been shot inside his apartment. County is still be called out. It was welfare check not some traffic stop.
Somewhat justifiable with the case. local township is taking a closer look at the operations of its police department, in particular, the “use of force” policies. 3 hrs ago
One officer deployed his Taser while another fired three shots killing him.
If cops are a perceived threat to minorities...what can we do to implement changes so people do not have that fight or flight reaction...It must have been scary for that 20 year old...jmho...
We haven't had one riot yet. let's keep it this way.
I think it brings joy to there heart and then you get charge with second degree manslaughter .
In a blink of an eye that guy who was probably making some plans about what he was going to do next while driving , thinking happy thoughts just got his life taken away from him because of the colour of his skin , for being black .
I'm not sure who else could have shot him.
(Could be Wrong - But I'm Not SEEIN' it or HEARIN' it )
Which begs the questions -
HOW does one get shot in the absence of Gunfire?
Hence - WAS he shot??
The Evidence on the Body Cam footage that Wright got shot is the cop Saying she shot him.
Yeah. I know ... We're meandering ever closer to Info Wars territory.
...something is not right...
...it just seems so crazy...
If the video has been edited to remove an expletive, perhaps just a snippet of the gun fire sound has been left on the video you posted.
I don't expect to hear all noise. I expect to navigate according to the bits I can hear. I routinely attend to every little bit I can hear.
Maybe that's why I picked up on it, or maybe the noise was something else.
Here's the First showing of the Body Cam footage - "... graphic & unedited" @ 7:00
Note that the gun is pointed into the car.
Firing a gun within a large room Significantly increases the decibels (Trust Me!)
Firing a service pistol essentially In A Vehicle would be Deafening.
Note that she appears to Understand & then responds to the rather quiet spoken comment of Big Guy cop.
If she'd just fired That weapon under Those circumstances, I Strongly Doubt if she'd have been able to immediately engage in conversation.
Her hearing may've been Significantly impaired for Days.
