I Am Scared (Part 1)
Today , 15th April , 2021 , Kolkata , West Bengal ,The First Day of Bengali New Year , I am writing this...
I am scared...
Can not forget the experience of last year... Lockdown is never an easy thing to cope up with for common people like me...
BUT
Yesterday it was over 2 million infection all over the country in just 1 day... And here in my area , election rally going on with thousands of gathering...
Death rate not increased though comparing to the infection... Not Yet...
Vaccination is for selected people only... A large number of people won't get the vaccine just because of the age limit...
And even if vaccinated , still there is no guaranty that these vaccines will be enough against the constantly mutating new strains ...
And the worst part is , we are most probably going to face another LOCKDOWN soon...

The age restriction for vaccination has been reduced .. Now anybody who is 18 years old or above , can get the vaccine..
But the problem still remains same..
Enogh Vaccine is not available for a large group of population..
And the vaccination ratio comparing to the infection rate is very much lower...
It's almost 3 million infection per day now...

It has began... The crisis of Oxygen supply among hospitals due to increasing number of Corona infected patients ...
DELHI , the capital of the Country , is running out of breath... And it's rapidly spreading all over the country...

Infection rate almost 4 million per day now.. And if it continues to going on like this , it will likely to cross 1 billion infection within just next 1 month..

Another Lockdown due to the second wave of Corona , been imposed here in my sate for uncertain period .. It will start from tomorrow.. Except specific basic and emergency services , everything else will be under Lockdown..

The 1 and half month long election process during Corona second wave , has finally came to an end.. Result came out.. A new govt. will take their oath today ..
Meanwhile the Corona crisis is continuing it's rampage all over the country as well as in my state..
And another reason of headache became the increasing ongoing political violence post election...
Workers of winning party and defeated party is now killing each other .. Like they don't want to wait for even Corona to kill them..

Since yesterday , the local train services been suspended all over the State WestBengal , till further notification... But all the offices remain open... Wondering about the govt. policy ... What the govt. think !!! How the workers and employees will go to work if train service not available.. Not all of them can afford expensive personal rides... It's also not efficient due to time consuming comparing to tain journey !! What are they thinking !!! Really !!!!!

Another complete Lockdown started from 6am today to 30th May 6pm ... Though some exception for basic supplies and emergency services will be allowed for a certain period ...
So here we are , restrained at own home , again ...

It's been on news , confirmed ... About 'Black Fungus'...
Central govt. directed all state govt. in an advisory to include 'Black Fungus' under 'Epidemic Act' and consider as a 'Notifiable Epidemic' from now on...
Several state govt. has declared 'Black Fungus' as 'Notifiable Epidemic' as well...
Here in my state , cases been started to get reported too...
Don't know what's more ahead of us...

I cannot recommend what Vax. For your particular situation..
But as for me, I gave my TV a Colt .45 Vaccine over 10 years ago....and am pleased as boysenberry punch with the net result...

Moderna and pfiz is on the menu here right now. I must make my "informed" decision this spring.

There is no chips in the vax this i know, but how bad is it, and how useless is it, and in worst case scenario, how destructive can it be?

Here, in my part of the US anyone older than 16 can now in theory get the vaccine. The problem is there is a shortage of supply and it is only given out by appointment. A wrench was thrown into the gears this week when the issuance of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine was placed on halt due to sudden blood clots in some of the women getting the dose. Yes, only women experience that side effect so far. The clots appeared within 2 weeks of getting the dose. One woman in my state died of the clot. Still the number of these sudden clots is small, only 8 cases I believe.
We also have the Moderna and Pfizer vaccine and if anyone reading this can get those, I say go for it. I got mine. I had no side effects. I know some others who got vaccinated and also had no side effects.
One user of CS I know did get vaccinated with the AZ vaccine, but she works in a hospital where she is exposed constantly to air being breathed out by those infected. The end result is a few weeks ago she got sick with Covid19, but as is the norm with infections after vaccination after a few days she tested negative and was released from her hospital bed and is back to work.
Thus far the vaccines seem to mostly effective against all of the strains of Covid out there. That of course does not guarantee that will always be the case. Viruses evolve quickly to find ways around our antibodies and it is possible we will someday see one that walks right on by our antibody defenses. But not yet, so get the vaccine as soon as you can and try to avoid contact with those not yet vaccinated.
We had 5 cases of blood cloths of which 3 died, among a populus of only 5mill.
They were all halthy nurses under the age of 56.

Yes, it must be taken repeatedly I suspect, so as such it's an ongoing thing (this fight) but what is till unclear to me is if it can have long term negative side effects, in the same sneaky way as covid itself.

During our elections everyone was much the same.
Which would you prefer, death by Covid19 in 2021 or to experience slurred speech or muscle soreness in 2030?
I voted for the second and they probably won't happen anyway.

Listen up you will need a booster for covid every single year. Between the ignorance of people not wearing a mask not wanting to get a vaccine and the population of the world which would take it at least 2 years minimum to vaccinate you can anticipate a booster every year

My worry is the assembly election results, if BJP manages to win West Bengal, it can be fatal for the political and economic health of India.
The only hope is that Bengal has been the most advanced province culturally and so can't easily fall a prey to the predators.
