Free Iguana gets Spendy

I just saw my son's post on FB. He was so excited to catch that big beautiful green Iguana a day or so ago. It really has some beautiful coloring. I cracked up when I read his post about how expensive his free Iguana is.

He spent $600 on a cage, decor, a mist sprayer and food. doh

That's my boy! I'm not sure what I taught him growing up.

I would have just contemplated and enjoyed the beauty of nature in that Iguana and have let it keep being a FREE Iguana... bouquet
Art would say the same thing now, after spending money on me to get me over here and the money I’ve spent on clothes and shoes.....

Green iguana's are an invasive species in Florida with a $5-6 price on their heads for each one killed.

You taught your son to rescue and adopt stray animals. laugh
@Fay......You might want to think twice about letting him keep an Iguana. If he plays with the critter you might be taking your son to the doctor.

"Iguanas are not dangerous or aggressive to humans but they can dig lengthy tunnels, damaging pavements and building foundations. They can sometimes carry salmonella bacteria. Males can grow to at least 5ft (1.5 metres) long and weigh 9kg (20lb), and females can lay nearly 80 eggs a year.
Hello, sweetest Mimi... bouquet hug

P.S. I am sure Art has no regrets... But, I won't ask him, just in case... rolling on the floor laughing laugh rolling on the floor laughing laugh

"No. No. I was thinking more Monet for the western wall of the cage ." laugh
