Because I bought from you...

Because I bought from you... doesn't mean I want to receive 6 emails a week about special offers.
There is a fine line between a mailing list for 'important things' and every possible reason to alert me about some BS.

Tiger Direct, Best Buy, Brands Mart, Ikea, Macy's, Jiffy Lube, Tire Kingdom, Home Depot come to mind.

My bank offers me credit cards nearly every week.
The mortgage company I signed with sold the account to a bank and now I'm getting refinance offers at a rate of 3 per month from each of them.

If I give an alternate address (with my luck) something really important could be missed... like a breach of security in one of my accounts.

I did not want my first cred card. It was forced upon me when I got my first loan. A pack i had to accept, that included some bull insurance too. Now... I have 15k cred card debt. I guess my gut feeling was right back then.

Anything I see on line I might want, I look for it on e-bay. I buy it from there and never have that problem.
