Our Wonderful Mayor

Our wonderful mayor will only be granting interviews to reporters of color. Well isn't that special?

If this were a white mayor, anywhere, there would be hell to pay. There would be outcries of racism and discrimination.The protestors would have yet another reason to riot and loot the city. She really should be more concerned with the 40+ people that were shot last weekend or heck, even the CTU (Chicago Teachers Union) "protestors" that are planning to march to her home this evening. Let's do everything in our power to distract everyone from the real problems this city is facing. Warm weather is here and crime and shootings will only be getting worse. Where is her concern for that? I am a lifelong Chicagoan and have seen this city go from being a vibrant jewel on the lake to a living cesspool.

Way back in the 60's, Chicago was a force to be reckoned with. Old Man Daly was crooked as they come but this city worked. I remember the riots of '68. I remember my mom being escorted to her car by National Guardsman simply because of the area that her job was in. I remember Daly giving police a shoot to kill order if need be. He vowed they wouldn't take over his city. Now everyone's afraid to step on any toes and the city has gone to hell. It saddens me that I can't wait to get out of here.
