ultimate technology

We are taught it all started with stone tools.

Then fire was discovered.

The wheel.

metalurgy and then gunpowder.

Then machines.

We discovered if we mix fuel with the machine we have the engine.

Now we have machines fueled my electricity able to think and compute.

We have now incorporated all that for the robot.

Perhaps a self replicating robot is in the future.

Or are we there already, with the human?

With the discovery of dna

I wonder if our maker is concerned about how far we have come.

Nope rolling on the floor laughing I am not anywhere near "there" yet.
Maybe in another thirty years.handshake
Maybe you are there Patti and just don't know it
We are left just enough autonomy to make us feel completely free but we are designed and programed to be productive.

Schools teach us just enough to follow instructions.
Money is required for us to fuel ourselves....to pay our taxes....for what end?

Just so we can wake up in a shelter to do it all over again, day after day....produce.
Tell me...

What other purpose in life you have?

Raise your kids to be productive? dunno
Schools are 8 hour days.

So is work.

We are programed since little kids to put 8 hours in.
We make just enough money.

When we get old....any excess is taken for our maintenance bills at the hospitals. For most people anyway.
So...one question that might be good to ponder....who benefits most from our productivity?

Like the movie...They Live.

Johnny > interesting topic; i hope i don't intrude saying that although so many technological advances, they haven't even touched the Surface of Reality.
Hello TheMirror, no intrusion. Thank you for sharing. It would seem the biggest thing that technology has not came close to yet is consciousness and self replication. Those two things can be the things that set us apart from our maker. dunno
well....to be grammatically correct....things and are
Respect mate for making an interesting Blog! beer

Dna and human machine and this I don't understand unless shown what that would be about,
I don't see us any closer to being a man machine (kraftwerk lol) in the physical sense.
But what concerns me is how unhealthy our voluntarily use of internet is.

Johnny do you find it easy enough to balance it up?

If I remember I think Jesus said it relatively plainly that his biggest concern upon his return would be if love was still here. Not AI taking over our brains. He mist have known it to be harder to love in the future,
of one reason or another.
Hello Grand,

Back in the day, I always thought it would be a beautiful thing for all of us to be connected to one another...no matter where on the planet we were. The internet does fulfill that, with a general sense of ease. It is a powerful tool...and relatively still new. We (humans) have a complete history of being separated....primarily by location and some by beliefs. Anything that is relatively a new introduction will need to have a certain time for its inception to be operating on smooth and satisfactory capacity. Thus, in time, this newly linked human world will all become accepting of each's boundaries and beliefs on a global level with a beautiful harmony. At least...that is what I think with the "connectedness" we all enjoy with the internet.

I am not sure I heard Jesus say that. I am not saying you are wrong...I just have not personally heard that. But, it would seem that love is more difficult to achieve these days. Can that be due to the internet? Can this be one of those things that need to be ironed out in time as the child (humans) plays with its new toy (internet) in extreme natures to explore and understand all its capacities and begins to have a respect for its beauties?

One can argue...if you don't have love, then you must have hate. For all those who have discovered via the internet how to hate...will discover....that they themselves will be easy targets of that same hate from others. Perhaps in the end, love will conquer. ....in time

dunno
Johnny,

The technology these days is growing so fast, and yet not really so fast. No flying hovering cars as common place yet, cell phones haven't been replaced by anything better, PCs not much better besides storage or a bit more speed. We still use rubber tires, oil, gas, etc.

But, such is technology.

I prefer the idea of optimism instead of pessimism. So you may be, hopefully, on to something here.
I will for sure not rule anything out!

So Johnny,

are you high maintenance? beer beer beer

Or low maintenance? drink pouring
And don't let that Rocking Horse in the cartoon remind you of "The Rocking Chair" method in your "Birds and Bees" book, page 129. laugh

Johnny > "consciousness and self replication" - you mentioned. these are very old, the scientists tried to do these in past, and since they could not, the only way through, was to deceive the whole world and implement in the people's mind that they did. yet, they have not done any of what they claim. their whole A.I. is merely a joke.
Modern technology makes our life easier as we get greedier. banana
Hey Robert,

You are right about technology not advancing too far past what has been around for some time now. I wonder what sort of secret technologies may exist...not yet released.

That rocking horse was making me think.. I was waiting to see some other sort of toys in that window though. laugh Speaking of your famous rocking chair position...when is that new and update Birds book coming out? grin

About my maintenance level...lately...if I don't change my ways, I am afraid I might turn into high. uh oh

BTW...I was just looking for your latest blog to check out, it is gone like the wind.

cheers
Yes...Grand. There is always a bright light in the darkest areas...somewhere. handshake
CC....hopefully the internet can curtail some of that...with real news and media messages coming from the horse's mouth...and not Robert's toy horse either. laugh

TheMirror,

That is interesting. It will be something to see how that all pans out in time. They are trying to make robots replicate and show emotions. ...perhaps signs of something deeper to come (with real replicated consciousness). dunno

Laf...I do agree. There is no doubt, that technology has made things easier for all of us.....it is just that certain technologies can only be available to the few as well.

BTW Laf...I have been curious since seeing your picture up. Which of those beautiful ladies is you?
