Derek Chauvin to be sentenced today.

My prediction is that he will get sentenced 18 to 25 years in jail for his "extreme cruelty".
But, I wouldn't bet anyone's life on it.
Meanwhile, he completely extinguished the life of George Floyd.

maybe it's not a good idea to resist arrest?
it all started with a phony 20 dollar bill.
if it wasn't Chauvin it was going to be someone. George was a criminal
If he was Criminal police has no right to kill him.
If there are Courts. confused
we go back to resisting arrest that sprung from a phone call from a merchant, criminal activity
let's add Fentanyl to the mix, another criminal activity
Shame he wasn't better at resisting arrest
Shame on those, who condone 2nd degree murder of someone that did not commit murder, nor attempt to murder the people who participated in that murder. scold
From the NY Times;

With good behavior, he is eligible for parole in 15 years.
Because I did not follow the case what was he found guilty of murder or manslaughter?
but which ever, given the carry on and aftermath regarding all the world wide BLM riots/protests, Chauvin should not be sentenced a tall, but be dismissed for his "extreme cruelty".
It ain't Over - The verdict May be Overturned on appeal due to Jury Intimidation

Black privilege ????? Wow ! You simply don't understand that the opposite is true and has been true for many decades.
As far as the murders that happened during protests (some of which were of blacks), they took place AFTER the George Floyd murder. Their trials will come.
Perhaps we need to remind ourselves from time to time of how we see who is playing the victim card.

A little off track, actually well off track but nevertheless here goes anyways.

People/patients die everyday in and out of hospital because of carelessness, their health conditions, complaints not taken seriously, tests/results some lost and many mixed up, others not even being tested properly. People die as a result yet after a court hearing when taken to court, the final verdict is negligence not murder. Chauvin overlooked and neglected the seriousness in Floyds voice/condition, it was an accidental killing. I don't believe he intended to murder him anymore than I believe the medical professions tend to kill patients..... like I said, well off track roll eyes

I agree, all should be held accountable for their own actions handshake
I take it so for a change you're in Trumps corner then, as in he should NOT be held accountable for the capitol riots?
Witch -
The Murder conviction May be questionable -
The Jury was apparently convinced the Murder case had been made.

Another Possibility -
The Jury was Intimidated into the Murder conviction by Congressperson Waters's Threats of "more confrontation" IF the Jury didn't deliver a verdict of Guilty on ALL Charges
See @ 1:40
shock
The Judge's angry/frustrated comments very mad suggest he KNEW Then that Mad Maxie's Ultimatum (And His failure to sequester the Jury) VERY Likely will result in the Chauvin Verdict being Overturned On Appeal.

Again -
Derek Chauvin quite likely owes Mad Maxie BIGLY ... bowing

The people who participated in the insurgence should be held accountable, as should Trump, as he was the one who INTENTIONALLY inspired them to do so.
He even told them, that he would lead them.

You may believe that Derek C. did not intentionally kill George. Floyd, but the jury did, and apparently, they were much more knowledgeable about the situation, which you admitted, you did not know the circumstances. They heard a lot of testimony from experts. He ignored his training and held his knee on Floyd's neck while Floyd begged for his life, and called out for his mother during the 9 1/2 minutes it took to extinguish his life by choking him to death. It was not only intentional, the court decided it was extreme cruelty.
