conversation with women

It has been my experience that while talking to a woman, a man should just keep his mouth shut until she is completely finished talking....no matter if it is for 10 seconds or for 10 minutes. I don't care if you are surprised to hear and you want to share with her that you also named your dog Sparkling Piss....keep your mouth shut and just listen and let her finish. If not, I have found the conversations usually end shortly afterwards.

Just my 2 pennies.

The best part of being a female wingman for a guy friend, is those stories that I sit and listen along to.

Are you an active wingman Rose? Do you give subtle hints about your male friend's accomplishments?
Just a sec Johnny..wave Robert, I am getting that feeling us three, nevermind.wink
OK, how effective am I? I can usually keep a straight face, or go to the ladies room.(alone-that is possible)
and come back...hopefully to some more cheers rounds.
laugh Robert....I guess I would advise for the man to listen intently. laugh
uh oh how does that go again Robert...deny to the left, deny to the right.
such in the mind with yous.rolling on the floor laughing
That is good Rose....but you have to talk up your guy friend like he is the best thing since buttered wheat bread.

thumbs up
blushing"stuck in the middle" of you guys.eeh hehheh heee
I have a better method.grin
I guess I will take the back Rose. rolling on the floor laughing tongue
Wasn't Robert talking something about a sandwich before. confused
yes I think his blog should put me right in the thick of it.laugh
laugh I was politely hinting that I often could be sitting with a couple of fellas and how could I favor one or the other. Sadly..do I brag up the one, nope, BOTH!!
Robert always leaves when the conversations get good. laugh

I suppose a good listener gets you going pretty good Rose?

laugh Johnny I guess the women here did not divulge anything more than I did.
Listening to men from a women's historical perspective covers two main areas in life:
the kitchen and the local bar/ restaurant.

We might end up occasionally as couples on an evening or event planned together, relaxing.

The listening used to be easy, after dinner the men retire somewhere to discuss certain topics and the women catch up on their personal lives and share ladies topics.
In a bar as a single woman, it's somewhat
the same if meeting a group of friends, or
in a league there.( Pool, darts, after team sports).

It is never wrong in my opinion to explain to a man that certain subjects will not be entertained. It is
always easy to indirectly address this if he insists,
order food, keep chewing slowly and nod your head.

"..keep your mouth shut and just listen and let her finish."
rolling on the floor laughing kind of the same thing, isn't it.
Johnny,

I'll bet you get some strange looks when you two are out calling your dogs. Anyway...

Remember there's only a few words or phrases you need to interject in her conversation when she takes a short breath.
They are ... Uh- huh, Wow! , Oh really, That's great, Cool, That's fantastic.

Use those phrases and you'll almost always get a second date.cheers
Boh....some good stuff. Yes, I do know some people like that. You have to literally wait 10 minutes into listening before you can get a single word in. But honestly, I don't mind...I like to listen. But there are times when there is something to contribute and by the time I am able to say something, it is no longer pertinent to the conversation....she is off in another direction. laugh

I have never seen that movie. The next time I get the opportunity to, I will check it out. thumbs up

I like your addition of personality characteristics involved with the quality of conversational skills. It is good food for the mind to think about. thumbs up

Rose...a good point about the male/female topic dynamics between the genders. Maybe that is why some of my conversations with ladies end rather abruptly....not that I have interrupted the conversation....but perhaps because I have brought a male minded angle to the story where a female mind is not in tune with it. hmmm ...or maybe because I have bad breath. rolling on the floor laughing

Thanks for sharing Rose.

...only thing.... use the word NOW and not KNOW....laugh

Johnny, you can either be a good listener or she will become a good yeller.
@Orc,

Hmmmm.

Yelling or ignoring. Sounds like the ingredients for a lasting relationship?
Boh, I was out with a friend of mine and a beautiful woman comes up and starts talking to us. Well, she is a friend. When she was talking with my friend, she stopped the conversation and said those exact words, "my eyes are up here." laugh

I just got a chuckle to myself when she said that to him. I must say though, I don't blame him, she was wearing a low cut tank top. laugh

I made sure to remain a gentleman when talking to her.. :)
Crypt, that would not be ladylike for her to do that....would it? laugh
Whoa....those would probably draw the eyes of a blind man. laugh
...my Kryptonite...
I think any straight man could relate with you. laugh good night
