Daughters of Kobani the Kurdish women who defeated ISIL

I listened to Geraldine Doogue today (on Radio national) interviewing Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, author of a book telling the incredible true story of the all-female Kurdish militia that defied the odds, and became part of the world's best hope for stopping ISIS in Syria. Her new book is The Daughters of Kobani: The women who took on the Islamic State. Inspirational is it not, with a win-win result bringing freedoms for the Kurdish women

over 1000 of these victorious women warriors died in the conflict.
