General Mark Milley.

"My military estimate ... is that the conditions are likely to develop of a civil war," General Mark Milley.

Too many role players (Al-Qaed, ISIS etc) want a piece of Afgan cake.
I agree with General Mark Milley.

Hi Ep,
Agreed, anyone could be wrong but past experience has shown me that while many sides are fighting against one common enemy then all are united.
After victory is gained that is entirely a different matter where the individual faction or tribe thinks or is convinced they put more effort more deaths so they are more entitled.
this is where it becomes messy.
Good example is SA.
All sides were united and with the help of the UN they received a great country on a platter.
Whats happening now?
The different tribes that were once solidly united are busy splitting into 101 factions with squabbling and theft being priority. Would even go so far as to say civil war between factions in SA is also possible in years to come.
JMO.
I think you are right about SA , need only look north one notch for prime example . One of the biggest victories in Afghanistan was the "capture" of the army intact . A lot just switched , no blood scores to settle . So many conflicts they could be used in along with the good gear .
What many reformists in Brussels forget about is that small human trait called GREED. Rampant in Africa and the rest of the globe especially in the developing countries.
Man wants. Be it the neighbours wife, dog, gold or property, greed is the cause of many a conflict that leads to war.
