Want to learn a little Spanish?

I have always wondered if it's easier for a Spanish speaking person to learn English or for an English speaking person to learn Spanish...

When I was in school, I thought English was extremely easy and never really studied for the tests... Even took a "Sufficiency Test" while attending the University to obtain my first degree and got a "100", that allowed me to immediately skip to the next level of "Technical English"...

Anyway, I was told by ONE gentleman that he was a little disappointed because he expected more of an accent from me... But, I have to say, I don't like how Penélope Cruz or Salma Hayek sound, when they speak English, so I try my best to erase/delete my accent... There have been people that even think I am a US citizen... Anyway, when anyone listens to me speaking Spanish, they immediately know I am a Spanish speaking person... And I love it...

Spanish is absolutely beautiful and sexy... Sooooo... Do you want to learn a little Spanish?... laugh devil shimmy flirty laugh

This guy says in another video that he feels Spanish was created to f@ck his life... laugh rolling on the floor laughing laugh

This is what Salma is singing in Spanish...

"Stay here in my arms… Stay here for me… And don’t tell me that you love me… Don’t tell me that you adore me… Just tell me you are staying a life with me… Take me around… Take me in your longings to a place… Where I no longer have to swear… Where I no longer have to lie… Where I only exist for you… And don’t ask me if I love you… Don’t be worried about that I think… That I am completely yours, my way… But, in exchange, I want to be your dream… I don’t settle for your kisses… I want to give you everything I feel… And more than that…"
And this, I found for you... Jeez, I should have googled Salma´s song too!... laugh rolling on the floor laughing laugh

Feel my love
a timeless story
that has no end
A love like ours
not, and never ever can die
I want to be in your soul
a happy moment
I will love you forever
I will live within you
In the days of pain
feel my love
that will come with the wind
that will come with the sun
in the eyes of God
Far away from you
You will see me in dreams
You will feel my kisses
You will hear my laughter
if you feel alone
and you are in silence
think about my touch
and in our secrets
I want to be in your soul
a happy moment
I will love you forever
I will live within you
In the days of pain
feel my love
that will come with the wind
that will come with the sun
In the eyes of God
Far away from you
You will see me in dreams
You will feel my kisses
You will hear my laughter
You will hear my laughter
Feel my love
Feel my love
Chancer, I don't want to read it... laugh laugh laugh
I took Spanish in High School and College. That was many many moons ago and suffice is to say, I only remember some of it. Just enough to have some fun with my son's in -laws. My daughter-in-law as well as her relatives are El Salvadoran. Whenever there is a big get together, they have a tendency to speak amongst themselves in Spanish. I'm sorry, I find this rude especially when you know darn well they can speak English. To counter this on a few occasions, when I could pick up enough words to understand the gist of their conversation, I've answered them or added to their conversation in English. The looks on their faces was funny enough to me, to justify it. The "oh chit - she knows some Spanish" look. Makes you wonder though, how many times they were speaking of you and you just didn't catch it laugh

Anyway, I think English is a lot harder to learn so Kudos to you!
Omg, Mr. BoDangles... Morse Code was one fun and horrible thing to learn when my Dad made us take the course to obtain our "Ham Operator" Certificate... I was just 14 years old... Passed with flying colors!... And got my Certificate when I turned 18... cheering applause laugh

My Spanish..?
I went on a few courses before I came to Spain...with a teacher from Madrid and I had a friend from Peru

When I came here in 2000, my first friends were from Andalusia and I thought I had landed in another continent! laugh

The first words they taught me were bad words!
And...a few years later, when I put those words into practice, they asked me where I had learned those???doh rolling on the floor laughing

Since in the Andalusian dialect they eat half the words not pronouncing the ends, I used to tell them to repeat it in Castellano.laugh
They didn't know what I was on about! Lol

Que vida tan dura!!
Pero...tan bonita!

Gracias a la vida..
Que me ha dado tanto..
Me ha dado la risa..
Me ha dado el llanto..
La la la la la la .. dancing
Hey Melz, i get some Spanish speaking lessons from a band named Cypress Hill;; they have got a song called Latin Lingo.. professor
Hi Melody,…well I’d like you to be my spanish teacher! ¡Sería tan afortunada!
grin grin grin applause kiss
I know, Dani... He is terrible... hole laugh laugh laugh

And I have to say I don't like how Castellano sounds... But, I do love to imitate my friends from Spain and also a buddy from Argentina... They laugh so hard and always tell me I do it horribly!... laugh laugh laugh
Omg, Butch!... I just read the lyrics of that song and I barely got three words... The rest is a total mess and a total degeneration of the Spanish language... But, I am happy that you seem to understand what they say... Or try to say... laugh laugh laugh hug bouquet
Ok, Robby... First lesson: "¡Sería tan afortunadO!"...

Afortunada = Lucky female
Afortunado = Lucky male

bouquet hug teddybear
Melody….haha…maybe I was talking about you being lucky to teach me! rolling on the floor laughing kiss
Ahhh..no…then it’s ‘serias’ …jajajajaja
Me??????... Lucky to teach you or lucky that you learn anything?... laugh rolling on the floor laughing laugh

P.S. I love your sense of humor... laugh hug teddybear
Well, it depends on how familar you are to the person... If it's a person that you don't know well, it's "sería"... If it's a friend or someone that you are familiar with, then, it's "serías"...

Wowwwww, Robby!... You are already learning!... And I was thinking it was going to be painful!... laugh laugh laugh
In Spain the term usted is hardly used, unlike South American spanish, so usually here it would nealry always be tu serias…….see, now I am teaching you Miss! cheering love
What word do you use there, for "usted"?... Or... Are you all becoming incredibly friendly?... laugh laugh laugh
