Dementia Part 2

Dementia was a hard blog to write and long enough that many won't read. Right after I explained what I'm learning I had a cute thought to blog which was short and cute.

I opened the blog and completely lost my thought.

Maybe you can start introducing what is Dementia that you won't get lost laugh

Dementia is not a specific disease but is rather a general term for the impaired ability to remember, think, or make decisions that interferes with doing everyday activities. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. Though dementia mostly affects older adults, it is not a part of normal aging.conversing thumbs up wine
The only good thing about dementia is you can write the same blog over and over and post the same comment

You may not believe this but I don't think people suffer from memory loss as much or as often as we think we do. I think that a lot of the time we are doing things automatically and things simply don't register, that is we don't create the memory in the first place therefore we can't recall it.
Example you put your keys down as you enter the house but if something is on your mind or distracts you then you aren't even aware that you put them down which means that you can't find them later and you blame your memory. But when you try to be conscious of doing things you will remember. This is where the problem lies as we age and is why routines help and leaving notes etc.
@ pedro

I made a note to remind me to log on C.S then I suddenly remembered why I didn't want to. [present company accepted thoughhug ]laugh

Well played BlueKiwi. I agree Pedro.

Thanks forlks
There is a difference from pure forgetfulness and slowing of the brain as we get older.

With lockdowns and many people not seeing and conversing with friends etc, they get lost a bit, conversations keep one upbeat and in the know.

Some younger folk who get true dementia escalate so quickly but older people it would appear bit by bit.

Whatever when i look back at my mothers last years by todays standards she would have been named with the dementia labour which as she had been a nurse would have distressed her last years so i am glad non of us cottoned on.

Sad though to see a person as we knew them disappear, but even then they live in the own shrinking world teddybear teddybear
More sugar will help you forget it.
Hi UnFayzed
Interesting topic about Dementia and Alzheimer too
Many don't know what dementia is and maybe there are cs members who secretly have dementia.
Many do not know Also that Alzheimers and Parkinson's are part of dementia.
I also share a few videos about dementia on my video blog so that it is easier for common people to watch and understand about dementia.
It is good of you to share about it in here.
Yes you can start share what is dementia, the symptoms, the causes and the treatment.

actually, this morning, I was looking for my little sieve, and I ploughed through all my cleaned dishes and could not find it. All the time, while doing this, I was standing in front of the sink, where the sieve was there. Lying just in front of me... I started to get really scared, you know
