what is the meaning of having life?
Is life a punishment or a reward?Life is punishment for some and reward for others.
people say that if the end is good then the whole life is considered good.
We live in a mortal body for 70-80 years, then this body perishes forever.
If there is an immortal soul then why does he need to come to the mortal body?
By the way, different religions have different stories on this topic. But who knows what the truth is?

Like a stone, rolling down a hill.
I think this all stems from the very basic human instinct of self preservation. It's hard to wrap one's head around his/her mortality, no matter the huge body of evidence suggesting that indeed, life is finite and one fine day, the party will go on without us!
Rather sad in a way innit?
Sure enough, perhaps even I do cling to the hope that I may be wrong. After all, I am subject to the same instincts everybody else is.
Nothing to do with religion!!!
But ...we create our own life.
Nothing happens TO us that we haven't created ourselves.
Things and circumstances happen FOR us in order to wake us up, to give us some kind of warning.
We asked (our soul) to come here, in a physical body, to experience emotions.
Whether life is good, or bad, is what how we make it.
Religions are all man-made.
