Lock the Clock...

On the radio this morning I heard that over 50% of the people polled disliked changing the clocks to DST.

Tonight, there is a news story from Washington:
The Senate approved legislation Tuesday that would make daylight saving time permanent in the U.S. starting next year.

The bill, called The Sunshine Protection Act, was passed by unanimous consent, meaning no senators opposed it. If it is enacted, Americans would no longer need to change their clocks twice a year.

The bill now heads to the House, where passage would send it to President Joe Biden's desk.

On Sunday, I was telling a friend that I would be okay if we had Daylight Savings Time year round!

I believe this was done in the 70s too. And, parents complained that their children were walking to school and to the bus stop in the dark..I think it was during the oil embargo..to save electricity...Congress voted to return to DST after a few years.

It would require an update for phones and computers since they change automatically.

My car’s clock changes automatically too...I wonder how that will be effected..and, how it can be updated...Hopefully, without having to pay.
Yes indeed my phone and lap top change automatically roll eyes
I didn't know that a cars time clock got updated, how does that work? Mine doesn't but it's ten years old.
