SANCTIONS ON RUSSIA

The use of sanctions are a form of penalty nations use on rogue behaviour by offending nations.

Okay, so how effective are they? I wouldn't know, but they surely would have some effect.

Here's an idea for the current situation in Ukraine: use the time length of sanctions. Here's what I mean....

For every month that Russia remains in Ukraine, the result will mean 1 or 2 years of severe sanctions.

Russia has just passed the 1 month time frame for being in Ukraine. Therefore, they suffer 1 or 2 years of severe sanctions, if they pull out now.

If they remain in Ukraine for 2 months, it's 2 or 4 years of severe sanctions after they pull out. This continuing response forms the end result of punishment on Russia.

It's Russia's choice what they want to live with going forward.

If Russia could reverse engineer gain of function we will back in 2019.. There will be winners and losers. We can do another lockdown

Yes it is a shame Russia was just getting more trade, cold war fading, even companies setting up there fashion, MC Donald's etc and in one fouls swoop gone back further then before.

It will be a long time before countries will trust Russia again.

Why poison Roman Abrabovich. I thought he was close to Putin, or was he being sacrificed in order to get Zelensky at the meeting in Kyiv. It didn't work anyway, he has recovered.
I posted here because he was sanctioned.
