The right to bear arms

Our Constitution allows any responsible citizen to own a gun for protection.

Our founders of this country had in mind that our protection is as important as our lives.

Some people think it should be changed because it's causing criminals to make killing faster and easier.

Really?

My question is, are these criminals not able to access these guns if this law is changed?
I don't think so.

What about you?

What Linds Said ... cheers

There have been many shootings in USA by individuals of all ages, who appear to suddenly go on the rampage in shopping centres and take lives. Buffalo is latest, 10 people dead. I do believe that there is too much freedom to carry arms and should be tighter control. Perhaps individuals should have to go on an assessment course before permission to purchase.
We used to have a very strict law or rules regarding purchasing a gun C. I have two licensed gun. We used to live in our ten acres land and robbery was rampant specially if your neighbors are far away. We felt good having it. Thank God we never had to use it.
actually, the Constitution FORBIDS Government to INFRINGE on the Right to Own and Bear Arms!professor
Once you have gun freedom, then it leads to most people obtaining them so as to offer protection. I suppose I would do the same. Trouble is it becomes like the wild west. To suddenly change things now would be difficult. Too many weapons in circulation. The size of a country is important. A weapon maybe valuable against animals when outside a city.
wow
You might want to research in what Jurisdictions and under what Circumstances those Mass-shooting occur!
To liken any of those situations to a Wild West that has only existed in the Movies is more than ludicrous!laugh
That is the bottom line C.
LJ .... You have the right to bare arms and bare legs and bare chest etc. We all do.

don't ever let them take your gunsbanana
Absolutely Lee. Never. wave
I agree!
Here, in Spain, you do need to go a psychologist.

Same applies for potentially dangerous dogs.

I had to do a test before getting a licence for my rottweiler.
I have no qualms of enforcing a tighter restrictions imposed on the purchase of a weapon Dan. I support that. Yes going to a psychological evaluation is a good idea. Determining one's sanity as a precautions to prevent unnecessary use of such weapons. wave
yes i agree...someone needs to be proven mentally stable...before they can own a gun and also learn to handle it safely
Nailed it Lee.

i see good in youwink
Oh... I see! Je suis flattée blushing
Well, you know Lee, I'm against killing...people and animals
That's why I am a vegetarian.

this world is so humane with your kind my dear. bouquet
I'm not big on teens owning assault rifles. In fact I think it's a bad idea. professor
I think the right to own guns goes beyond the right to protect ourselves from whoever and whatever. I use guns to hunt, bowl, bust up clay birds, make precision holes in paper etc. wave
I agree and teens should never ever get a hold of them.
Absolutely Chris. wave
what Assault Rifles?

Is it ok to carry guns with you in public places? How about knives, swords, crossbows?
Crossbows are awkward!
Not if you wear a baggy skirt or trousers. Definitely no use with leggings.
