The right to bear arms
Our Constitution allows any responsible citizen to own a gun for protection. Our founders of this country had in mind that our protection is as important as our lives.
Some people think it should be changed because it's causing criminals to make killing faster and easier.
Really?
My question is, are these criminals not able to access these guns if this law is changed?
I don't think so.
What about you?

E.G. -
Kyle Rittenhouse openly carried his rifle in Kenosha, Wisconsin & did so Legally.
Open Carry is Not Legal in other states, such as Florida.
Carry & other Gun Laws also vary between Countries - Fr'instance ...
I'm OK with keepin' Murka's Bill Of Rights - ALL Ten of 'em.
is the thinking and that makes some sense.
However... there is a gun industry. Is that reason (economical)
once again making sure no politician
is even considering making changes to the law?
Idk. I trust good citizens to be responsible, just as we all are around the kitchen knife.
Sofar no local police knocked on the door saying
"hello, we are here to dull down your kitchen equipment".
I do see though that a few more killings happen cos of easy access to a gun.
Europeans think it's crazy, but over there it makes sense since it's already widespread.
Can they be lead back to the more civil style of Europe on the matter?
Is there any way Lindsy? And you know other parts of the world well.
No guns in the Philippines is there? Plenty of knives. What say you?

If you compare how much guns there is around to how many shooting incidents there are
among the none criminals it's rather few I suppose.
By the way, here there are numerous AG3's in Norwegian homes.
Only the ammo is held back and only handed out if Ivan comes over that ridge.

if russia wants ukraine, the demonrats will open the doors to take it if they can.
that's the whole point. what country wants to invade another with about 80 million armed citizens?
we can't rely on our military. many would know and understand their oath to side with the people. many others would side with government. so would the population. civil war.

No country wants to attack the USA due to the MILITARY might of the US armed forces, it has nothing to do with armed car sales personnel or bar staff.

to 'the people' refer to anything other than an individual
right. What is more, in all six other provisions of the
Constitution that mention 'the people,' the term
unambiguously refers to all members of the political
community, not an unspecified subset... The Second Amendment
extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute
bearable arms... The very text of the Second Amendment
implicitly recognizes the pre-existence of the right and
declares only that it 'shall not be infringed.'
Justice Antonin Scalia (b. 1936)
District of Columbia v. Heller, June 26, 2008
innocent and law-abiding that their rights and liberties
depend not on their own conduct, but on the conduct of the
guilty and the lawless, and that the law will permit them to
have only such rights and liberties as the lawless will
allow. ... For society does not control crime, ever, by
forcing the law-abiding to accommodate themselves to the
expected behavior of criminals. Society controls crime by
forcing the criminals to accommodate themselves to the
expected behavior of the law-abiding.

the continental army came about from this. support for the local "rebels" fighting the british. the u.s. didn't have an actual military until much later.
there was a major event that showed the need and right. it hasn't changed. there isn't any argument that can be made to say it won't happen again. there isn't any argument to say our government would never try something stupid again. how many times have people been astounded, and dumbfounded, by how low politicians and governments will go today?
if japan would have been able to stop the u.s. and control the islands they wanted, how long might it have been before maybe wanting to try control of the mainland? was it worth the risk? it wasn't worth any more risk after midway. chalk one up for the military in that case.
people can say what they want, when you know much of the general population is already armed, it's a large deterrent all on it's own. that's why some of our politicians and false leaders would like to disarm us. they can do what they want if the people can't, readily, fight back.
