Attracting younger men…

I have always had the ‘problem’ of attracting younger men, but only because I look and think/act younger than my actual age. As such, all but 2 of my past relationships/s*xual encounters (not that many), which includes my marriage, were with younger men.

The thing was, what they expected of me and I of them, didn’t mesh well enough to keep the attraction going for very long (especially since I’m not easily impressed and get bored quickly).

Crossing 55 made me determined to only form personal relationships with older men, whose future expectations/outlook on life were more in line with mine, and with whom I could fulfil the need for meaningful companionship.

Idealistic? Maybe. Pragmatic? I think so. Achievable? I certainly hope so. Cheerswine

Sounds ok. I think over 50 should cover your need.
If you're not fully developed at that age ...well (will never be).

It certainly is very important to be on the same page in life
especially at your age as there is no more time to waste.

cheers
Yes i have had one or two younger men wanting to meet me. I tell them to look at my age, next comment from then age is just a number and my answer being yes its my number. help

My 3 sons are in 50,s so anyone younger to me would be a no no.

Someone who does not work and have time to be together with similar interest is more important.
So truethumbs up
Exactly! handshake wine

And you shouldn't be young enough to be my son (or nephew).grin scold
Tres interessant. And, what woukd 'getting the job done' entail?
I'm sure you could figure it out....given timewink grin
I was kinda hoping for details such as "he does this and that to me while I'm lying there or here and then I feel this way or that way etc..."
hmmm Seems like you may need some tutoring.laugh
I have the exact opposite happen to me lol, I have extracted older women so much inperson. Don't get me wrong, I still attract younger, but older women seem to actually be far more serious and actually want something out of it, unlike the young. My opinion older women are far more fun. cheers
thumbs up wine
When we were younger we had older men hitting on us, now that we are older, its younger men instead.
Good lord, but when will men ever stop hitting on us doh

But seriously, a day a time will come when they no longer dosigh
then we'll have A/the REAL problem.

Whatever my personal views....
its not a problem till you make it so wave

its not a problem till you make it so"

wave Hi CW, ......that's so true.thumbs up wine
Well I'm delighted to know we are not going to have a problem with that giggle lol

A good day to you there Di wine
You too CW :-)
Didi, my problem is they're way too young. My ex of 28 years (Irish) father of my three children, married for 28 years but together for 30 years was 25 years younger than me. Before him was 16 years younger, anyways, to me it's truly just a number.
Correction Didi, gesssh 15 not 25. doh
wow 15 years younger!? Less than 10 years my junior was/is still 'too young' for me.
Physically Didi, yes, I still look much younger than them, according to my children, but I met them as very smart and very intelligent people, at least three of them on different times.
"...having an intelligent, well educated man that I can learn from, lean on and visa versa when things are not great, somebody with a lot of experience of life is the real kernel, not somebody who is a trophy to go around with."

We definitely think alike GG...younger men can't easily fulfil that need, perhaps because they're still maturing and have may concerns about making a living, building a career, starting a family, etc. A retired or aged professional may have already experienced and achieved all that, and have learned a lot that helped mould them into more stable, wiser men (hopefully).

See you when I see you, girl.wine bouquet
"Didi7 your blogs are always interesting and I thank you for that."

You're welcome GGhug
Ok then...I've not had good 'results' going younger, that's why I'm resolved to stick with same age or older. So far, not so good...laugh
It might be a Student / Teacher thing.
I think you look like a teacher.

Did you fancy any of your teachers? heart wings
Hi Merlot, yes, I've been told by many (over the years) that I look like a teacher, which I was, and yes, I did 'fancy' at least one of my male teachers....when I was about 7. grin Even when I was much older, it was more 'admiration' than outright attraction that I had for male teachers/lecturers.

Anyhoo, I don't really think that it's mostly a student/teacher thing (even though I've had students express a 'fancy' for me on a few occasions). I do believe it may also be the fact that I'm 'slim', 'petite' and a bit 'shy', which makes me appear much younger than expected.
Didi7 Hopefully, and maybe some day wine good luck
No matter how young we feel or look, truth is We AINT! lol Our internal organs are slowing down and slowly failing. The hill we trotted up has gained height and pitch and now there are days we stop halfway up to admire the scenery.grin
We watch TV and read and are aware of all that is new. And mostly, dont give a rats behind. We are not old fuddy duddies. Well, most of the time.
Age does matter when too far a span between. Oh!! What is the name of that actor on Gunsmoke? Remember when a Mcdonalds burger was fifty cents and you walked in, then went out to the car to eat it?
What do you mean you dont know how to drive a stick? You call THAT music..give me a break.
No I do NOT want to go for a run. How can you stand to watch that dumb show?
Conversation becomes a dual between your memories and theirs. No thanks. Hard enough for those with kids to deal with those differences.scold
