A virus that kills cancer...
Clinical trials have begun on the virus Vaxinia that is said to kill cancer.According to a Yahoo story:
"The virus itself has been engineered specifically to kill cancer cells. And, in previous animal trials, scientists have seen very promising results. These kinds of viruses have been a “smoking gun” in the fight against cancer for over a century."
This could be a future topic of discussion should test prove positive.

Kinda skeptical atm, but I truly hope I'm absolutely wrong. Nevertheless, this is a step in the rightest direction! Kudos to the chaps involved.
In that case there is still no hope of preventing cancer.
Coincidentally I heard on the radio that we still have billions of pox vaccines in storage which can if required be used against all these known poxes like the so-called monkey pox. So less to worry about there.
I have already been aware of this possibility while they were testing it on animals. Live Science magazine jas published stories about this work as it was considered for the last 50 years or more.
Anyways my ovarian cancer was detected in 1998 and came back in 2011 both of which I was told that I'd have had at most 90 days to live. Well miraculously I'm still here and I am grateful. One thing I've been doing is following all my doctor's advise of eating all the foods that are healthy like fruits and vegetables, coffee (black), and avoid processed foods, meats and alcohol (never drink).
"Tea and Coffee. Ingredients in tea and coffee may protect against a variety of cancers. The antioxidants in coffee seem to be especially effective against endometrial cancer. And green tea seems protective against prostate cancer." (From science magazine).
