NPD..... personality disorders...

Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.

Many of the words to describe mental health issues are inaccurate and frequently confused with other terms.

Personality disorder, as per its actual name.

Computers have learned how to beat any human at Chess; why couldn’t a clever narc learn how to better condition him/herself?

NPD is a *character disorder* so right out of the starting gate, they have a disability. To me a cure means it's gone. No longer a problem. If one has to constantly monitor one's reactions, it's still a problem, and there's still potential to do harm. A cure would mean that potential is gone.

A person who has NPD, but then intellectually responds to an understanding of how their behavior hurts people and then for the rest of their lives, quits that hurtful behavior, can be called “cured.”

medical world...
They don't believe NPD responds to treatment, let alone can be cured.

Empathy and remorse...

Some people are born without either of them, and do not possess the ability to feel them due to a different brain structure than that which neurotypicals possess. Psychopaths, for the most part, feel zero empathy or remorse. (I say for the most part because I am not one, and so cannot speak definitively for them. That is not my area of expertise).
but still at the end of this

blog... i might give solutions

Some other personality disorders also cause lessened ability to empathise or feel remorse, but I won't name them for the simple reason that I don't know enough about them to know if I'd be right or wrong.

If you see people with less human emotions then there could be a story behind it.
This is consistent with my experience with a narcissist or sociopath - they may feel regret (for themselves) if something they did didn’t work out for them, but have little to no awareness/concern about how their actions harmed anyone else (remorse).

How does a person get NPD?
Scientists believe that the full onset of NPD may occur when interpersonal development is compromised, for example: Being born with an oversensitive temperament. Learning manipulative behavior from parents or peers. Being excessively praised for good behaviors and excessively criticized for bad behaviors.

Yes! They are AI (soulless characters).
Will all the Connecting Singles PhD psychology and Parapsychology majors please report to the faculty meeting poolside by the promenade deck to discuss further of what to with all the NPD folks of Connecting Singles?

Healing therapy and counseling will be provided for no additional fees. Hopefully, those in the study of such should have everyone whipped into shape in no time. professor

Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious mental illness. It causes a person's moods, relationships, self-image, and behavior to be unstable from one day to the next. This can hurt family and work life, the ability to make long-term plans, and the person's sense of self-identity.
