~The Cold Chill~

I entered my bedroom..the room temperature was normal..but I felt awkward, just an uneasy feeling...I left the lights on, because I was afraid...afraid of what?...I had no idea

I layed down to sleep..but felt a very cold chill in my legs, not normal, so I twist and turn and rub my legs together to generate some heat....that did not work....I fell asleep

I was awoken, conscious, half awake and half asleep..I saw my bedroom door slightly open, I felt a dense energy...I saw no one, I had gone into a paralyzed state...I could not move, I was afraid... I foughtt my way out of this...finally!I was free...'FREAKED!"..I got goose bumps...I glanced at my bedroom door, all the hairs on my body stood up!doh

I grabbed my blanket and ran up the stairs, sat on the chesterfield shivering....I read a prayer in my mind, asking the higher power for protection

HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE?confused

Hi Ebony, I've not exerienced any ghosts myself and not 100% clear if this happend to yourself, but if so, I would certainly sleep in another room until you find more details. hug Basically, research your property and also local papers in the library to see if they can shed any light on what is happening and no doubt you can find more dedicated websites that can advise you further. I can pnly recommend a friendly housekeeper highlited in the press here last week: uh oh

Mr ThadSmith, I do not personally see what religion has to do with a ghost/spirit. Though I have not seen or felt one myself I do not discount them as Europe has millions of them and too many people have experienced them not to. I do however question that you believe a horror film, music and your mind!! confused could allow demons to enter?? (remember the film Ghost when Rita Mae allows Sam to enter her body) Even then,, how do you it was even an attack or do you have expertise in ghost hunting?? Until more details are found out of the house/bedroom regarding its history, this is all speculation though if it makes Ebony feel any better, certainlyget a priest involved.. comfort

Mr. "Yash124g" I wish I could convince you further in your personal understanding to what I mentioned & it would take too many blog pages for me to go in depth with demonology, spiritual warfare, & how they coincide with religion so I won't. But there is a difference between a demon & a ghost. But eithers' mission CAN be to harm one or create emotional turmoil & non-the-less fear. Yes, the history & what occurred the place she resides can also be a factor. Regarding movies, some are based or inspired by true events...the one I mentioned is one of them. You either believe or you don't. But what we see & choose to open our minds to are open doors to our inner spirit, in which spirits can enter & affect our conscious state & dreams. Certain objects of certain nature can also be open doors as well which can affect our environment. Just try going to sleep tonight with Marilyn Manson music & a horror movie playing & you just might have such an experience whenever for however long. You either believe or you don't. "Ebony" a friendly housesitter can do nothing for you & sleeping in another room may only self-conciously give you an illusion of being safe, but the entire dwelling can be affected.
Thadsmith...at least you not being sarcastic in your response and it is all genuine...thank you for that, I will look into it more...handshake

@Tired of Looking..thanks for your contributionhandshake
It has happened to a lot of people. This may not be what happened in your situation, but look up Sleep Paralysis.
i believe in ghost i wish sometimes they didn't believe in me .lol. but i do have stories to tell but not in public everyone thinks i'm crazy enough as is lol.
Adam, they are just trying to steak your tacos. devil
Gosh Yash, I couldn't find any reference to Scientology in your comments. confused confused confused
Mr."Yash124g," good job on a total non-belief attitude on this. All hauntings don't start off with visible figures with growling & tornadoes of furniture in the room. A lot of them can start off gradual & unrecognizable signs to the average eye. Some occurrences are only once, some progress to severe levels. You havn't heard about a lot of people knowing (or believing about this) because they are in denial, or believe a spirit's presence in a dwelling may be a deceased family member when really, its known as a familiar spirit (a demon disguising itself as that deceased family member). A good movie example for this is "White Noise" (parts 1 & 2).
Another thing, you don't have to worry about me going to some housesitter's hotel room where theres a ghost & staying overnight. I have black in me & we don't typically chase ghosts & try to talk to'em & find out all the whys...nor do we invite them either!rolling on the floor laughing
"Ebony" I warned you of some of the comments you'd get from other unbelievers of this. One doesn't have to believe in ghosts & demons at all. If a haunting is going to occur, it will, it is what it is. If you're going to take a scientific approach on this, find a scientist, date him & have him stayover night in the room...after he's scared out of his wit & experiences things his schooling didn't teach him, I bet anybody "sleep paralysis" won't come out of his mouth!laugh
"Drea111" don't start with me...you know the battle your choosing can make this into a 50 page blog!laugh
Thanks for your comments Venus but I think Drea has probably hit the nail on the head as it were. The following is a guide on Sleep Paralysis from a UK government Health Care site: wine
Correction to be made as I discovered previous site is not from the government, though information does look pretty accurate. Here is a link to a NHS Birmingham Self Help Guide on Sleep Problems, (It is a Word Document), where p.10 refers to sleep paralysis. Also gives guide on taking notes if symptoms persist and lower down to Specialist Organisations and useful websites: Hope this helps thumbs up
wow!...Thanks to all for the time and effort!....very informative indeed!thumbs up
Ms. Venus-

All very true, what you wrote.

As far as all the other incessant ranting going on in this blog (ahem...Thad) laugh

Here is what it is by definition:

Physiologically, sleep paralysis is closely related to the paralysis that occurs as a natural part of REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is known as REM atonia. Sleep paralysis occurs when the brain awakes from a REM state, but the body paralysis persists. This leaves the person fully conscious, but unable to move. The paralysis can last from several seconds to several minutes "after which the individual may experience panic symptoms and the realization that the distorted perceptions were false". As the correlation with REM sleep suggests, the paralysis is not entirely complete; use of EOG traces shows that eye movement can be instigated during such episodes. When there is an absence of narcolepsy, sleep paralysis is referred to as isolated sleep paralysis (ISP).

In addition, the paralysis state may be accompanied by terrifying hallucinations (hypnopompic or hypnagogic) and an acute sense of danger. Sleep paralysis is particularly frightening to the individual because of the vividness of such hallucinations. The hallucinatory element to sleep paralysis makes it even more likely that someone will interpret the experience as a dream, since completely fanciful, or dream-like, objects (often described as looking distinctly demonic by those who experience the paralysis)[citation needed] may appear in the room alongside one's normal vision.
And Mr. Yash...

Thank you! banana
This is a great site. This was the one I found when it first happened and all the sections seemed to explain things perfectly.

uh dont u just hate it when that happened huh? ive had personal exps wit ghost/spirit in the past. The last one was around end of last year. but all good i just ignored it. my thought was just they letting u know they are there and not gonna do any harm. ( as i dont have any exp wit bad/evil spirit so cant comment on it but hope to God dem bad spirit dont have the needs to say 'hi' to me.) cheers
i believe there a reason for its happen to me a few times
"Drea111" you don't have to be shy to thank me for opening your eyes to a quite different explanation that science doesn't address to these episodes. Your welcomegrin
It could be Caspergrin
Thad-
confused

Not sure what I would be thanking you for...im pretty confident that everything I've read and experienced explains it just fine....

I don't think it has anything to do with evil spirts or ghosts, as you presume. dunno
@myhearbeat....laugh ......Thank you for the advice..lol

I hope god answers all my prayersangel grin
I'm sure a few people will say it could be a form of sleep paralysis but that wouldn't explain your feelings prior to the experience you describe. An old friend of mine always says its the living you should be scared of, not the dead. I think thats true but it still doesn't take away our feelings of being scared of what we KNOW is there even though our eyes can't detect it.

My 63 yr old Italian friend who i work with always tells me a story of when he was aged around 7 in the little village where he grew up in Italy( Roccesecca ). He said he woke very early one morning to get himself some water to drink. As he walked into the kitchen he saw a German Army Officer sitting at the table. He said he was clear as day and smiled at him. He got a drink and sat down and had a little chat with the man, not frightened at all by the stranger. The Officer then said he should go back to bed because it was so early in the morning. My friend agreed and went to the door and turned around to wave goodbye but the Officer was gone. He told his parents but they dismissed it immediately and never spoke of it again. On his mothers death bed 40 yrs later she confessed she had also seen the German man.
I never tire of hearing this story. My friend just smiles and says " itsa the truth, wadda can i say "
