Low Carb Diet, Fountain Of Youth

I started low carb diet last December 2021. I used to be semi-vegan.
Eating food with carbohydrates below 100g is a must.
In the low carb diet there is an IN and OUT list.

Foods that are OUT
sugar, sweet fruits,soda, chips, cheese, breads, vegetables that have inflammatory effect in the body, rice, juices, dairy, pastas and noodles
Foods that are IN
meats, eggs, sea foods fish, vegetables, almond flour, coconut flour, black coffee, shirataki: rice,noodles & pastas

Intermittent fasting is observed daily for ketosis or fat burning.
My fasting schedule that was given by my low carb diet coach is 12pm & 8pm.
I can have 2 meals a day. Lunch 12pm and dinner 8pm.

My coach suggested exercise every other day.
Muscle isolation exercise by platform vibration machine I did.

During the first 2 months I belched a lot. 12 times in 10 mins.
I have GERD from the diet. Drink a lot of water.
Feeling too weak to move. I tire easily.
Sometimes I experience hypoglycemia from my ketosis.
But the benefits of low carb is really wow!

My food allergy is gone.
I can now eat shrimps, clams , mussels, chicken and eggs.
I now enjoy wearing denim jeans. My waistline is now visible.
Abdominal muscle is gradually showing up in my tummy.
Breasts are more firm even without a bra.
Facial muscles are taut no dropping eyelids & double chin.

I am much healthier now. Than last year.
2019 I was rushed in the emergency room for pain in my lower abdomen.
The doctor have no idea what it was. CT scan is needed.
Kidney stone deposits are revealed!
Thank God I can get well by taking medications no surgery.
I paid P15,000+ hospital bills in less than 24hrs.
Kidney stone medication for a month at P5,000.
Today
No hospital & cosmetic enhancement bills too.
My final decision is to keep my low carb diet.
Even though I reach my target weight & waistline.
I want to live long and look young without cosmetic surgery.
I save on money by being healthy.
Bought a farm lot & condo unit(Pag Ibig Financing) in the provinceheart wings

delighted to read your new diet plan worked out for you both health & wealth wise.

However, I am a strong believer in what's one mans nutrition, is another's poison.

Yes. I understand rice water have inositol which can make hair much shinier & Vitamin B,
Vitamin E, Fiber, Magnesium, Manganese & Zinc. Malted rice is the source of kojic acid.

Well, any kind of diet is good when you really believe in it .. veggies can make miracles indeed .. so fish .. but thing is when you're old and grey already, no diet can bring back your youth .. you simply can't turn back time wink
I see a contradiction. Noodles and pastas are in BOTH groups.
Yes it is a little bit confusing. The IN list refers to noodles & pastas made from shirataki . That is shirataki noodles, shiratki rice & shirataki pastaheart wings
True, all diet are good depending on the state of health we are in. The only thing that goes up is age. My father(Mawah,New Jersey) 70y.o. Advised me to be a vegetarian or semi vegetarian. No red meat, only steamed chicken w/o skin if I crave for meat. Steamed food & less oil. Thank you. heart wings
All sounds good, except for one big thing that I personally encountered. My goal was to lose 10 lbs never dieted before or had to......then came the allure of the Atkins Bar (Robert Atkins developed). Went the first two weeks with less than 25 or 30 carbs per day went into ketosis lost the 10 lbs and then continued on low carbs higher than 30g for awhile.

I started to notice that I was not sleeping well (normally a good sleeper) so I started some research. Remember your grandparents would take a glass of warm milk before bed? They were on to something. You need carbs before bed in order to activate brain levels of tryptophan and serotonin.

It took a couple of years or more to get back my normal sleeping habits.

So, first and last diet ever.......eat everything balanced and in moderation and exercise.
I found the easiest way for me to loose weight in a short time was to eat approximately 1 - 1.5 ounces of almonds in the mornin and 1 - 1.5 ounces of almonds in the evening. i could eat anything else I want to eat but I will still lose unwanted weight. Eating the almonds in this way provides a lot of fiber and I will feel full quicker when I eat so subsequently I end up eating smaller portions.

Yes. I am not pre-diabetic. Low sugar level can cause hunger pangs and body temperature drop.
I prefer intermittent fasting(detox) than skip meals. Main cause of peptic & gastric ulcer is skipping meals. I appreciate your knowledge on dieting.Thank you very much.heart wings
When I went on this diet it was called the Atkins diet. It restricted me not to have more than 25 grams of carbs a day. I followed the diet exactly to what it was and that put me into ketosis so I would burn fat.

It also put me in the hospital.

I watch my carbs and sugar now but I would never recommend the diet you are on. However, good luck to you.
