About 19 years ago, my ex-husband who was a chef with Fullerton Hotel, Singapore, was sent to St.Moritz for their gourmet festival.
He bought me 2 gifts from Geneva.
A ceramic fondue pot that looked something like this.
Fondues are not our thing and the pot ended up as a showpiece in our kitchen cabinet. On more than one occasion, I had been very tempted to give it to his mom so that she could cook her curry in it
I was collecting Wedgwood mugs back then and he got me this.
Only problem was……I already got the same one!
I was really not that hard to please….or was I?
Great to see you even though it's once in a blue moon.
Hard to please???? I won't get drawn into that one....
BTW
I couldn't comment on your blog but I at least 'liked' it..
Hope you have a fantastic time when you visit 'home'...

And I can't hear as much Fireworks as in other years!
Possibly because of the dry weather!
Sometimes it is dry enough that even the traditional Bonfires aren't lit!

Hi Mimi
It’s in my bucket list but I’m afraid it’d be wayyyyy out of my budget range.

Need to be in the Alpine Region to really appreciate those Bonfires!Every major Hill would have one.
They were used as Signals,Alarms and calls for help in the old days!
