Sunscreen spray recalled for cancer risk...

Huh? Sunscreen is supposed to prevent cancer from exposure to the sun. In this case, it's trace amounts of benzene, a chemical which can cause cancer with repeated exposure.

On weekends, I'm in the sun on and off for hours and stopped using sunscreen because I was getting red blotches on my skin. There could be a correlation.

Recently, Banana Boat Hair and Scalp Spray SPF 30 was pulled from shelves.
"This recall comes a little over a year after Johnson & Johnson recalled five sunscreens because they were found to contain benzene. That recall included Aveeno and Neutrogena products in aerosol cans."

The first reader comment:
How many years was benzene used in these products before?

Give it a year they will say those products are fine..They will then name something else people use
There was another best selling oil factor 50 in the 70s banned because of 2 ingredients, they are herbs. I can't remember but the ingredients found their way and sneaked back on to the market shelves in other products. Many Creams [face, body lotions, hair dyes have extremely carciogenic ingredients ]. So we get cancer from the sun and we gat cancer from protecing ourselves from the sun..... laugh MAD
Thanks for information. It is wise to read ingredients. Aluminium and led is in many cheaper products.
