IRANIAN HEAD SCARFS

Well, the women of Iran have shown what they feel about wearing head scarfs. Swinging them round in front of officials. That shows that they don't accept any reason for wearing the covering and that it should be voluntary if some women desire it.
How backward the Iranian government is. How uncivilised those officials are.
But in my country loads of women wear them and without compulsion. But are they pressured from within their own community?

A few decades ago women had to wear head scarfs in the catholic church and men had to remove their caps.
I don't know what the punishment was for an infraction of this rule.

Four Reasons Why Women Should Wear Head Coverings:
1. To Honor Her Head
2. For A Covering
3. As A Symbol Of Authority
4. As A Testimony To The Angels
There was a similar movement in this country some years ago when women sought some kind of freedom and started to publicly burn their bra's. I haven't noticed them doing it recently. Perhaps they realised it had no effect on the majority of women or anyone else.
Head scarves are mot exclusive to Iran but are worn in many other Muslim and Christian countries
Just because you can not imagine that others don't want to live like you it doesn't mean its not a natural way of life for them.
I've been to Iran several times.
They are not what the media is trying to make them look like.

Nothing wrong with headscarfs. After all, the ex Queen of England wore one when she was out in the country.
If you wish to see what's under my hat, you can check my profile, if you dare.

Ten of cups
I would guess you have studied the Tarot cards and have identified yourself as the ten of cups. A minor Arcana card. I identify with the Hierophant, a major Arcana card. So I represent greater importance. You need to listen to me as you should realise.
professor
I am a card reader amongst other things.
I never read a Tarot card book in my life. I am natural .
I do not identify as the ten of cups but it makes a good profile name.
If you were the Hierophant you would have known better about your topics... wink
I don't really want to know...uh oh
laugh
Hierophant stands for tradition and convention. It can represent marriage in an arranged setup. It can also mean a teacher or counsellor who will help in learning / education of the querent.

So why on earth did you start a blog re Iranian women and head coverings.laugh laugh
