Killer Motives

(This blog was inspired by “Why do men rape women?” A blog written by fiftyshadesofgra)

I’ve recently watched documentaries about serial killers Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy. They were both before I was born so I wanted to culture myself a bit and get up to speed with the both of them. Dahmer said he raped and killed because he felt like he had no control over anything in his life. Bundy did it for possession and control. There’s always some form of control there.

I feel like I have no control over my life sometimes but that doesn’t drive me to hurt someone. However, I noticed a difference. My parents are still happily married. 51 years. Ted and Jeffrey didn’t have that.

Still though some people have had terrible childhoods and turned out just fine and great childhoods and turned serial killer/rapist. It’s really something I can’t wrap my head around either. Perhaps I should turn the tables and find out why people from bad backgrounds turned out fine as well to get a better picture. Ted said he did it because he wanted to, not explaining a motive. This is telling me he is inherently bad which goes with the fact that we are all inherently sinful.

I am leaving you all with this. My opinion is that the enemy played on their insecurities to get them to do his bidding. If you have an area where you’re weak he’s going to try his best to use that against you. I hate to say this but they allowed the devil to use them as his vessels. Dahmer even said he was going to build a shrine to the devil had he not been apprehended using the heads of his victims.

One of my friends asked me how can you watch that kind of stuff? I don’t because I know how the enemy works. I said I do too but it’s good to know how the mind of a serial killer/rapist works so that you can avoid it. I commend her for not watching those films though. I really shouldn’t be watching them either except for the reasons I mentioned.

Those psychos must be possessed.

Also, they are soulless characters. They don't need any motives.
And the lead, too. The late 20th century wasn't just the age of serial killers but the crimewave of a lead-poisoned generation. They didn't realise the harm they were doing through technology and development, and even when we do realise the vested interests must first die away before anything can be done about lead-poisoning or whatever the equivalent of lead poisoning is today.
That's most definitely the most complete and satisfying explanation. Thank you, d4n.
Both Dahmer & Bundy had a history of mistreating and killing animals at an early age. I'm sure other serial killers had the same instinct in their childhoods as well. Parents are always in denial.
"My parents are still happily married. 51 years."

Not everyday a couple can boast with this type of achievement.
Unfortunately there are more couples that lose their way in their marriage than those that value true love and the meaning of marriage vows and stick it out indefinitely. My shortest marriage was just more than 40 days.moping
No such thing as a soulless person scold

Dahmer said he killed animals , opening them, because he wanted to see how how they worked.

I've no real evidence for the theory but it wouldn't surprise me. A repressive society yet not at all closely knit. A diverse society yet not at all creative. As controlling as a village but not a village. Authority that is loveless and uncaring oppression that leaves you with neither liberty nor familiarity.
Bob and Words…also apologies. Apparently I missed you men too.

Words…yes, he did. Sometimes I think too bad I can’t open up my body to see inside. I have to settle for X-rays and Doppler studies. I saw my heart through an ultrasound. That was a sight. They don’t look how I thought. Killing something though to see inside makes me want to know which part of the brain decided that and why. I only know it’s accepted that killers have no remorse or conscience the standard definition of “sociopath”.

Bob…I will check that read out. Thank you.
Also Dahmer mentioned that after his first kill it became easier and easier to do it. That also fascinates me. Repetition wins?
The heart is one gigantic mess of a muscle. That’s how mine looks anyway lol. It’s probably the only part of my body that looks toned. laugh

Love me another serial killer documentary. Thanks Blue. Welcome to my blogs.

In light of recent events I’m closing comments on this blog out of respect. It’s no longer appropriate. Even though I love studying criminals. She had no real motive; she had a goal: to die.
Someone else here loves serial killer docs. I thought I was the only one. I am referencing it here because it is an honorable mention. I still need to watch it.
Yes...
Very interesting subject matter...makes you wonder...
Here is another video clip...Piers Morgan's interview with serial killers...
