We had quite an important visitor today.

A few hours into my shift, I looked outside at the parking lot, to see a particular truck parked there. What kind of truck was it? It was THE weather truck. The one that's famous here in Denmark. It's a Ford Ranger, 3.2 diesel. Anyway, side note.. Why was it here? Why was there a camera crew by the tires? Well.. Apparently, they had to make a piece about tires - specifically winter tires. They had a guy from Continental, the tire manufacturer, come and explain some very clever stuff about tires, I didn't hear it all, because I was busy working. Form what I could gather from my coworkers, it was about how choosing the correct tire meant your fuel economy improved.

They were on site for about 30 minutes, but it was a lot of fun to see how a piece like that was filmed. I don't know when it will be out, but when it is, I will watch it to find out what it was about.

Meanwhile, the weather is getting colder, I'm reaching my breaking point with a friend, and I'm extremely tired. All in all, a great week.

Yeah, type of tyre and correct pressure. This all affects friction and slippage, and hence fuel economy. Ambient temperature does too, in principle.

PS: Tyre is a lot more proper than tire. Just saying.
