With THIS blog, I'm risking an injury

And maybe a friendship also....
but I done it years ago before, and because I'm deeply worried, I'll risk it again.

Since April of this year my friend, our friend Nam is in Ukraine, assisting in their war.
September 2nd is the last mail I received from him, unlike his last mail before it, he was over there with only 3wks to go, asked me to pray for him as he felt those last weeks were going to be his longest, and him being him, the NAM within the man had to throw a joke in of course, to lighten his mood and perhaps for me to worry less..... as if.

Not long ago I put out a request for a link, and thanks to a member, I received one handshake
but the thing is, unless I hear from Nam, I need to be searching every once in awhile and since I don't have the know how, could someone else from another end if possible, do the search for me???

Would really appreciate, if someone would.

A thought for Nam along with a prayer, he'll return home, safely.... teddybear

Because we are both on different sides of the fence here Red....
just a line to say hello & keep well wave
Jac, I don't know why people sometimes think I'm upset or angry, when I'm not confused
anyways....
I receive PM's from members concerning updates about Nam, mostly from members I've never heard of before, obviously his followers/fans. I am aware each and every time I post here, the views climb, mainly out of concern along with much hope I have received good news from or about himself.

I'm not going through my comments to see if I lashed out or just how much I did, but it was never my intention to do so in a bad way but truthfully I am a little disappointed though, not for me personally but for HIM.

Should he ever come back, that is.

I disagree with you, it should not be a freedom of choice, depending the role....
some pensioners should be pushed into retirement and not just for their own safety, but also the sake of others as well.

Just for the record, I'm neither angry or upset, just giving my opinion is all.
I didn't think for one minute that you 'lashed out' in a bad way.

It's just obvious that you are troubled by Nam being in danger, the fact that no one appears to have heard from him and the impact it's having on his family and friends.

At the beginning of this blog you asked for help to try and track Nam with a link someone passed on to you. Has anyone helped you with that?
A week doesn't go by that I don't try with certain links. I have another friend or two who helps me else where and neither is having any luck either. But maybe that could be a good thing.
I was going to offer to help, but I'm no expert at this sort of stuff.

I just didn't want you to feel unsupported and I'm glad you have friends who are helping.

And yes, no news is good news, even though no news is painful and emotionally tiring. hug

Nam survived Nam, so he must be pretty skilled at surviving. Some people are just plain clever at that sort of stuff.
Don't you trust Putin?
Because so many are asking for YOU in my PM...

Why not drop in Nam, even if its just for a quick hello....
many behind the screens are concerned for you hug

I wouldn't worry too much about his fate yet.
To date there have been fewer than 10actual Americans killed in the fighting in Ukraine. Your indicating you heard from Namron in September cuts the number of possibles to fewer than half. The great majority of the dead are under 30 years of age. In many prior posts and emails Namron described himself as being in his 50s. I am not seeing any death reports of Americans who are over 60 years of age dying in Ukraine. Likewise a few years ago a women from Malta who hung out here on CS, shared his true name with me. I do not see that name on the list of known American combat deaths in Ukraine. Admittedly sometimes when joining a foreign army Americans use a bogus name for enlistment purposes. We saw a lot of that with Americans who volunteered to fight for Rhodesia in those days. However, there is no need to use an alias in this conflict (and most discuss their stint fighting with Ukraine with justifiable pride) and there hasn't been any noticeable controversy about the identity of the Americans deceased in Ukraine.
should say
being in his 60s.
Thanks for that ken wine
Nam is now home since I brought out this blog last year.
when some ask me in PM ( like so many still often do) his whereabouts and disappearance, it's far easier just to bump this up then explain it all again.

Fewer than 10, I can never understand you men when it comes to war doh
but like I've said, the old fool is home and I've not yet to date, suffered an injury ...
... uh oh

giggle
Glad to hear both.
So pleased he is home safely. lips teddybear teddybear
