Is it true China will drop anchors around Australia and take over mining operations there soon?

I am jest curious whether china will take over Australia benevolently before it drops anchors around Taiwan. I bet the panda will be kind to Australia.

@Rob, you seem to be historically and politically well-informed. And I like people like you sharing an in depth info because I'm learning.The Chinese have already economically and financially invaded most countries. Nothing wrong with that as they have that business acumen but the political motive behind all their encroachments are alarming. I'm specifically sad at the political situation of my country as the "previous" admi tilted the political power in the whole of Asia. The urgent attention must be given to my home country. Dropping anchor? One island that used to be a country resort club was "sold" or rented to them already and that was probably a couple of yrs ago. So sad the way things are now.sigh

I imagine it doesn't matter to New Zealand and Australia if the USA builds new bases and keeps troops in the Philippines, south Korea, Japan or Australia. I have retired Vietnam Vet friends living like kings in Malaysia but the USA military needs to mind its own business and return home.
