Road Trip!

I'm pretty excited....today will be taking a road trip up 4-5 hours into New Hampshire. Now day trips may be mediocre to some, but to me, being the hermit that I am ..laugh ..it's a blast, seeing as I hardly go anywhere, other than a walk to a local store for necessities. My smokes are much cheaper there too, so I'm stocking up applause (my apologies to the nonsmokers lol) Who loves to travel?? I know I do yay yay

Enjoy your trip!head banger
Thanks! Just got home, actually. Was a lot of fun.....other than the few sprinkles here and there...weather was very mild. dancing wave
So, while in New Hampshire today, we had stopped in a local deli for lunch....my friend had asked the lady at the counter for two reuben sandwiches and she responded with, "only if she sings for us first" laugh laugh ...and right then, I got it lol......we all laughed and she said you know who you look like, right....I said ayep, I've been getting it for years...apparently the image in the minds of those I've crossed paths with still remains the same lol rolling on the floor laughing

Road trips are always fun and cheap smokes is the icing on the cake. I love rolling up a bunch of joints and hitting the road (not driving of course), take your time, make a few pit stops, make a day out of it wine
Yes! Though I can’t say I can relate to the ganja laugh ....but making a few pit stops, taking our time and definitely made a day of it....good times were had banana wave
What I used to like doing was packing up the fishing rod and spend the day going to different ponds along the road (Newfoundland has many ponds roadside that are full of trout). Fish when you feel like it, then drive a few miles, go somewhere different, try different ponds. Good times.
That actually does sound like a lot of fun! I love going fishing so so that would definitely be a day well spent! applause applause
Here, we have lots of ponds stocked with barge mouth bass, perch and a few others....can’t remember the last time I went, think I’m well overdue laugh
I love fishing. Newfoundland and Labrador has good fishing, especially in Labrador if you don't mind car sized mosquitos by the millions lol. Yes, you are overdue for a trip, you need a fishing trip wine
When I had gone to Canada, that was the very first and only time I had ever been ice fishing. We fished for smelts....so good in a beer batter purple heart
I love smelt. They are really good and plentiful too and not hard to catch.

I would love to be able to rent a helicopter and go to some inland rivers and ponds in Labrador that may or may not have ever had a hook put in them. That would be a dream trip. Spend a week on a river in a tent, eat what you catch.
Yes! uncharted territory is the best! I've lived off the grid, living off the land....and it was the best experience ever...such challenges to learn in survival mode but there is nothing like it....the freedom is incredible . wine
Life off the grid in New Mexico....

The daily strong winds up in the mountains...very different atmosphere....
A lot of people here have cabins in the woods thats off grid and they like to spend lots of time there, I would like to have one myself one of these days maybe. The ultimate setup would be to be near a river that never froze over and set up a hydro electrical generating system, power the whole place 24/7 as long as the river is running.
Sounds perfect to me! I had just started putting the solar together for power....don’t have the water resource for that. One day I will go back to that way of life...preferably not alone....but it will be that final destination for me, either way grin
I would ideally be set up on a river like I was describing, though I would need monthly drop off's of medications but thats not hard to do. Solar with enough batteries works good too. How much wind do you get where you are? If I had the money to invest, the hill across the road from my house, on top is always windy. I would love to put up a handful of windmills to feed electricity to the house and back into the grid to cut down on the light bill.
I like the whole idea of water power.....though there was no water source where I was ...There, you would have better luck with wind or solar. We had battery packs that would store the energy through the night....by mornin it was necessary to power up the generator to kick start the solar enough to get a full charge. Here in CT, not much wind at all......but when I was in the mountains of New Mexico, there was certainly enough for wind mills as energy source. ....and...well...where I was, there was no such thing as a light bill at all lol

laugh dancing
Water power is consistent unlike solar and wind. You can have batteries if you want but you don't really need them provided you got a reliable system in place. Bonus to living by a river is you got a water source in easy reach and in the summertime at least, just jump in to bathe. My dream would be a totally self sustaining place with water power and a feed going into the local power grid. Here, if you generate more power than you are using, what you feed back into the grid, you get credit for which basically means they pay you for electricity you are feeding in.
Photos rather make me think of Tarentino's Kill Bill 2
Would be a nice thought only ...completely removed and separate from that grid .....wine
That kinda makes we wanna watch it now...can’t say that I’ve ever it dunno confused
It's nothing great - of his I only liked only Pulp Fiction and one other, can't remember what it was
Oh yes, Jackie Brown!
I do know of Pulp Fiction...but of the latter, not so much
dunno
I really do have to remember not to respond comments on the blogs before I've had my coffee in the morning
rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing ....I've noticed way too many typing errors in my comments, sometimes not making any sense doh doh rolling on the floor laughing
I would love to go for road trip before it gets too cold here.

last one was months ago, from Amman to Aqaba, 4-5 hours, I love it at midnight, stars and moon and big trucks...

Here in the New England states, it's nice to drive about during the day for trips because of the beautiful foliage this time of year...lots of trees and mountains, it's beautiful cheering cheering
it's mostly desert here, too hot in the day.
I really love the bright lights at night and the stars and endless skydancing
@crazy

hey Iato!wave
That's how it was when I was living in New Mexico, as shown in the pictures above.....just miles and miles of sage brush and desert...no trees lol
