Great News
I am now recertified as a medical assistant from the board of California of medical assistants. Today I get my moderna booster so that I can put it on my resume. I told my boss and he said that’s great news but I don’t want you leaving me, I thought you were going to work with me. I understand though if it’s a better paying job. I said it was what I went to college for.I think I have a way to stay with him though that he would like. I’m going to tell him on the 3rd. I didn’t think they would recertify me this quickly but apparently I already finished the necessary requirements. He was a bit surprised and sad. I told him I was going to let him know once I started looking for another job again(which I haven’t started). That process takes months from experience. He said yeah okay in a sad tone. Omg I feel so sad now. I hope he’ll like my idea.
But how he found out was that I brought my paperwork to work so that I could finish it. He said what’s all this? I just told him. I wasn’t trying to hide anything. He’s very observant when it comes to my life. That makes me feel good. Not very many people care what’s going on with me besides my immediate family.

Please tell me what is a medical assistant job in the medical field.
Please forgive my ignorance.............
Your boss has his eye on you who knows?.....................
Anyways…too much info there maybe. Haha. On to your question. A medical assistant works in a medical office either working a doctor’s front or back office. I can work both though because I’m credentialed in both but some are only credentialed in one or the other. I like both so I decided to be credentialed in both. Sometimes coworkers call in sick too so I have to do both which is fine I just have to tell the doctor I’m by myself so he knows. We are different than nurses in that we can’t do specific procedures but we can handle most of them and running of the doctor’s office. Rooming patients, phone calls, vital signs, accepting payment for the visit, filling prescriptions, scheduling appointments…things of this nature. Basically we do things for the doctor that he doesn’t have time for. We also do injections of medications he orders. We also can assist him with procedures too if need be such as bone marrow biopsies, Pap smears, etc.
I understand you are allowed more lately due to the shortage of nurses.
Too bad about the no romance but you are right to stick to your guns......
I got the Moderna Booster for work a couple of days ago. Man it knocked me on my a**. I’m feeling a lot better today. I didn’t have to go to the hospital at least. I was prepared for it because I know some people that have. But the Moderna vaccine is a lot better than Janssen. I should’ve got Moderna in the first place.
