The disappearance is noted...
I'm curious why a few recent blogs have disappeared. I noted numbers on my blogs for reference. Two days ago, I had 1,671 blogs and this morning, it's 1,666.The list of total system blogs showed 71,200 and now it's down to 67,956.
Trimming the fat?
The first thought that comes to mind is storage and bandwidth. At some point, blogs and forum posts will become enormous and the cost of keeping data for years and years becomes expensive. CS is a free site and the need to eliminate some data would become a possibility.
Just a thought... It was mentioned (in a blog) that blogs that didn't comply with the wishes of administration would be deleted. I tried looking for that blog... but it disappeared too!

My uncle lived in Miami Springs and they had seasonal floods where the water came to the door and you look across the 'river' to your neighbors. Drainage was poor and it was usually a few days for the levels to drop.
I'm on the 2nd floor now, but the parking lot flooded 4 years ago because the surge pumps didn't come on. The low spots had water half-way up the doors. My car drowned from that incident.
They let it be up actually quite long.. to be soc media.. lol
Who cares?
Ask any member who had a blog with 40 or 50 comments that mysteriously disappeared in the night.

Having said that, I have one kept in memory of String and the ways he used to be
if that got pulled....
I'd be gutted
So I suppose not all blogs, are not but just blogs.

Mentioned a few times, we don't own the the things we do and say here.
They become the property of CS as soon as you post them online.
It's a business and the website is owned by others with no guarantee that what we say will remain.
So, it's a good idea not to forget the blogs and forum threads are volatile to the point of keeping an online diary where some pages will get torn out out from time-to-time.
If it's super important, keep a copy on your computer or other site in the event of a disappearance.
Because the whole blog in question has vanished. LoL So yes, vanishing blogs are a real thing.
