AI. PROGRESS & DEVELOPMENT. UNSTOPPABLE.

The progress of AI can not be prevented according to experts, and the future of
this planet is in jeopardy. As long as there are countries that suppress their population, the number of new ways to observe individuals behaviour will increase, and anyone who steps out of line with government policies would be taken care of. Also the development of armies of robots would be inevitable, and would replace humans, and could be used to invade weaker countries.
Already, closed circuit cameras are used in autocracies such as China, to watch their citizens, and what hope is there to ever reverse the future escalation of AI.

Many other planets in the universe existed long before planet Earth and if they had civilisations, then it's reasonable to expect that they would be more advanced, and experienced the development of AI. Maybe their AI became more intelligent than the beings that created them. Possibly leading to the extinction of the original species of beings. The ability to replicate and be difficult to destroy would make them a formidable force.

I've been studying AI since just before ChatGPT came out and this AI explosion occurred. But, this AI has been going on since the 60's. Yes, we can actually chat with bots now, and they actually can make a little bit of sense. But, I can out-debate every one of them that I have talked to, so far. They could and should do better.

Be that as it may, you've been watching too much Hollywood. How many times have you sat in a math class and had an algorithm scare you, because it was going to invade home, etc? Silly.

Yes, AI will take jobs. That is a function of voting with your money. If you buy cheap products that are made with robots, you will displace workers that used to perform those jobs. So, start voting against those critters that are striking fear into you.

There are ways that such a thing could happen, but are people so gullible that they believe that if a small AI force created itself, that we wouldn't immediately counter with AIs that will take them out, and much, much more quickly and with more power, and a lot more of them? Wow!

I'm a realist, and that just doesn't seem like any future reality that I can imagine, and I'm an Amateur SciFi Author!

The potential is to have for the first time in history an independent and objective judiciary that can also read minds. That's potentially good news for those serving a sentence, but committed no crime. It's potentially great news for the innocent everywhere.

But will that happen? Is public property even public property anymore or is it a crony capitalist rig? Does the government and big corporations seize the property of the nation? Do they sell these they have no right to sell? Yes. Do they buy things that were never meant to be bought? Yes.
Potentially good news for the innocent and the beaten down, but so was communism. Artificial intelligence could bring the myth of equality under the law into the new reality. But equality under the law is a terrifying prospect to the rich and powerful, to the charmers and to people with high status. Equality under the law is technically possible for the first time in human history, but this does not make it so.
Well, AI has suddenly now become very important and countries are concerned about whether we shall be able to control this intelligence in the future. If things continue, it will be inevitable that the progress will lead to a threat to this planet. Any country that wishes to dominate this world, will seize the opportunity and ignore any agreements that may be formulated. If there is intelligent life in the universe, it will be useful for such beings to communicate with our AI and possibly be able to operate the function and direction of the new intelligence with a view to maybe gaining control of our planet.
A way AI could enhance the planet is the creation of humanoids and particularly of the female variety. When God created this world he made Eve with the role of helper to Adam. That was the plan for all future women in their relationship with men. They would be required to submit to their husbands in everything. They would be required to dress with modesty and self control. A woman should be a helper suited to the man. If a woman argued, it would be better to live in a desert than with a quarrelsome and nagging wife.
These are biblical requirements of a woman.
If these qualities could be programmed into women humanoids, then God's intention could be fulfilled and the world a happier place.

Unstoppable does not equate to ungovernable or uncontrollable. Fear mongerers are just that! There is worldwide activity to control and regulate.
Yes but it's a bunch of amateurs trying to restore order in the shortest possible time. Govern that which you know nothing about and do it less than 5 minutes. There's a reason why the liberal west is doomed, why the world's sliding towards authoritarianism, and why you have kids growing up poorer than their parents for the first time in half a millennia. The only governments providing any sort of material wealth are dictatorships. Like in the 1930s.
And actually we should resent the term artificial intelligence because it's not intelligent. All it is is a more sophisticated script than what we use now - and we're not in any way experienced or competent enough for what we have now. We are too thick for right now and what's coming is even more sophisticated. Anybody confident about the future of society is either a liar or a fool.

I think you'd need a cleansing war and baby boom afterwards to have any chance of making good of technology. The species becomes younger and wiser as it has done in the past. You need 40 is the new 40. Not being seriously immature for your age as the answer to being obsolete. The actual young have an actual future in place of hasbeens who covet youth. The zimmer frames great leap forward? It can't carry on
The only other answer for technology is if artificial intelligence literally became the government unfettered by the minds of silly men. But you can't stake your life on that. You can't stake your life on a saviour machine, humanity must retain control of its own affairs
We have to grow up sooner whilst others die off, or give control of our infantilised geriatric world to the AI.

But on the issue of AI government this would have to be tested beforehand. Maybe in the 22nd century we could have atheist heaven, you're uploaded into the database of the AI after you die and whether that's really you or not nobody knows. Whether that's you or a simulation of you the AI has to deal with you, with a human being. And that's how we get to find out what an AI government would be like. But we're not gambling that on a living breathing human race. I bloody well hope not anyway
Venturing into science fiction but it would not surprise if something like this happens. A virtual earth run by an AI government. And perhaps a series of simulations that study what happens when we give the AI power to differing extents. Maybe virtual reality can be utilized in a many worlds that prevents us doing so much damage to the real one.

And here's an interesting one. The political party that loses the election comes to power in a simulation so that we always know what would have been. That might help us to learn more quickly. Or it could be anything. What would have happened in a world where the internet never happened? There's a simulation for that. We are running out of room on the earth and there's no coming back from our mistakes without space to do it in. Simulation could allow us a margin of error and we need a margin of error because we're not perfect, we are just arrogant..
Other planets in other universes no doubt are either AI themselves, or use AI to make journeys to distant worlds to explore and perhaps mine raw materials valuable to their existence. That's why encounters with UFO's on earth have occurred.
Paul McCartney says that he is using AI to utilise a demo tape John Lennon made and never used. The new Beatles song I understand will appear in September this year.
