Does relationship with another person living in an

Hi people,do you think a relationship can work if partners live in other countries,or is it best to stick closer to home to find your partner.

The only thing we miss in a long-distance-dating is physical appearance of the person. But we have a lot of pictures. We can talk anything and everything on the net. We can express all of our feelings. Send and receive gifts by regular mail.
I don't find much difference between a personal dating and the other. Yet, I know, feel, experience the difference the people show. I feel sorry about it.
As for me, I am ready for it. So far there is no "luck".

It can work but much depends on the "committment" of both especially willingness to communicate and to meet physically each other in regular base.

Hasn't worked for me (same country or different countries). It's very difficult to keep up indefinitely, unless you're into a part-time lover, can visit fairly regularly, or one of you will relocate.

Difficult especially with busy, conflicting schedules and other commitments. uh oh

I agree that it needs a lot of commitment + money.

Sure it can, met mine here on CS a few months back and have been going strong ever since, of course its hard work and I plan to relocate but for now we talk and send text messages.

It's beautiful to hope and love for someone far away.
The problem is "THIS IS INTERNET".
Writing who you are, and acting who you are is not the same thing.
If you truly want to get into a relationship you want to know the person for who he is, not his character on the net.

It's possible that it might work, though little, there are some stories of successful online long distance dating, but the real question is: are you willing to risk it?

If so then go for it.
But there is no shame is trying to be safe, there is only reason.
