Better than a web cam:Telethon on line

It has been a hectic week. An apartment building collapsed and lives were lost and all the various media houses are getting together to host a telethon tonight to set up a disaster relief fund to be disbursed to those who suffered in this disaster and any residual funds will be put in a trust fund for use in future natural catastrophes .

It will be interesting to see how it goes, four hours live from 8 until midnight local time on CBC TV (Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation) and it will be streamed on line also. BBS, my station, is the smallest so I will be the one representing us; there is a strong possibility that I will be on screen in real time and in living colour as one of several presenters/hosts. Gad! I am going to have to wear makeup! Maybe they'll let me get away with bare essentials which I have but don't actually use. Hate wearing makeup! It has been a while since I did television. Just radio with cameras. That's all.

It will also be fun to see how competitive we all get with each other, obviously each of us will be trying to generate the most calls and highest pledges, I was in the best position in a way as I pushed it for all I was worth on my radio show from midnight till dawn - I just got home a short while ago - and I am anonymous on air so people will want to 'meet' Midnight Clarity which is my email contact for the show. Maybe I should wear a mask and maintain the mystery and promise to take it off for the largest pledge...

Right now I am far too wide awake for someone who just pulled an allnighter (we had rehearsals for the show tonight before I went to do my own gig) and is expected to be at a full dress rehearsal in about eleven hours.

I'll go look through my closet to see what I might wear, that should put me right out!
Anyway, if you noticed I was a little scarce that is where I was and why. Working.
