laugh laugh Someone just messaged me a link to this... Tomin, you are just too sweet!!!lips

You leave the loveliest comments on my poems and now this. I don't quite know why you're watching out for me... but I appreciate it.hug
I just posted a new poem, Tomin. I thought you'd like to know.
Regarding my comment and my (bad but progressing) Italian....
"Grazie mille per aver letto, il mio amico"

il letto = (noun) the bed

avere = to have (aux. verb)
leggere= to read
letto= past participle form of "leggere"

So.... "aver letto" is ok for "to have read"

My original comment should translates something like:
"Thanks a lot for having read, my friend"
more simply "Thanks a lot for reading, my friend"

[Anyone who knows Italian grammar, please feel free
to further correct this is I messed something up!!]
Hi Tomin--

Just posted a new one... more structured sort. See what you think!

Tonight I am sad because I have hurt someone that I care about. I know that I didn't do anything wrong.... but he is hurting nonetheless.sad
I was feeling soooo good this morning. I posted my own thread just to wish everyone a good morning because I just felt so happy and peaceful.... so full of clean energy!!

And now I feel so drained... and just down... you know, because my friend feels such disappointment. I even posted a rare depressing poem just now.

Then I promised myself to snap out of it upon falling asleep tonight. sad flower
Sorry to know that Opentuit is no more present on this site. I miss her and her poems very badly. May I ask her to leave her email id , if ever she comes back ?
Hey, Tomin.... I wrote a new poem and just posted it.
Let me know how it strikes you:)
Thanks.You are great as usual!
I've been introspective lately... thinking too much.... but also finding that my emotions are right at the surface. That's a hard way to live. But it's a good time to write.

I posted a new poem moments ago.
Seen your post just now.Let me see the new creation.
Posted another poem today- Morning Glory. Take a look and see what you think/feel. I was undecided about posting... but I did.
Thanks ! Do not ever hesitate to share with us what you feel!
I feel blessed to know you, Tomin. And now I kind of feel like any poem I post is not quite complete until you have visited and left me a note.purple heart
Posted a new one today. It's called "Melt." Not as obscure as some of the recent work...laugh
laugh Yes, of course. Take all the time you need.hug
You are right both ways! It is a little bit long story ,which I shall let you know by email, soon. Thanks a lot for your concern!
Poetry is good for me that way too... I can immerse myself in the images and the emotions and the urges. Trying to repress it only gives it more power, IMO. Letting it move THROUGH me frees me for a while. When I write or read my poetry, I get to really FEEL with intensity... which brings so much relief. People use religion/scripture in a similar way, I think.... also similar to meditation, of course.

Poetry feeds me.
I posted a silly poem a few minutes ago, just for fun. playball dancing dog cats meow grin
Conversing with you is a sort of confession, sacred feminine! Btw ,I saw the following verse from Hamlet in a tweet. Could please let me know (briefly) the meaning, conveniently?:

Hamlet

"...there's a special providence in
the fall of a sparrow.
If it be now, 'tis not to come',
if it be not to come, it will be now;
if it be not now, yet it will come:
the readiness is all.
Since no man knows aught of what he leaves,
what is't to leave betimes? Let be."
I am not an expert on Shakespeare... but I am a fan. I think this is essentially saying--- It is what it is; and it will be what it will be. He is expressing acceptance of destiny, that he will fall (die) when fate (providence) commands.
I think a love story is running here popcorn
Thanks a lot opentuit, for explaining the verse from Hamlet.
