RIP to the GREAT John Wooden
Being a UCLA Alumni, it's truly a sad day. Coach John Wooden died Friday night, and it's a huge loss to college sports and the country in general.He touched thousands with his great character and spirit. His great sayings and pyramid of success are words to live by.
"Talent is God given, be humble;
Fame is man given, be grateful;
conceit is self given, be careful".
"Failing to prepare is preparing to fail".
"The best thing a man can do for his children, is to love their mother".
"Consider the rights of others before your own feelings, and the feelings of others before your own rights".
He was a great man; when I discouraged in college, I read his book and wrote to him. He replied with the wisdom and concern of a grandfather.
One last Bruin 8 clap, to the GREAT John Wooden. He's now with his beloved wife Nell who he lost in 1985. After her death, every 21st of each month he would write a love letter to her and put it in her pillow beside his in their bed. He did that up until her death. A truly great couple.

Don’t know who Coach John Wooden is, sorry. But I think he is nice. I don’t think any writer will write back to me if I write to them when I am discouraged in life.
