Unconditional love.... the human dilemma

Okay my dear friend... here is the blog you asked for with a question for you and for all. As human beings we are filled with human attributes which in general lack some better qualities that would be preferred. One of the greatest ills that we experience is the inability to consistently demonstrate unconditional love. We struggle to accept what is and focus too much of our time attempting to change or alter things that we have no control over. What do you think? Is there any hope that one day we will wake up to face a new day without being so darned self-centered and self-serving and actually show an acceptance and an appreciation for enjoying differentness in others? confused

aspirational, but not a chance, human nature being what it is, we can all hope to be better than we are, but somehow, its easier to be worse.
I'll be happy just to wake up in the morning....

If I do, then I'll focus on what I have to do to survive the day.

So I'm rather stuck with being self centered.dunno

yayy the professor is back. Welcome back, i hope this time you stay longer than the last time ... Lol
for me unconditional love is the minute i stop expecting the received the same ammount of love i have given, with out ever thinking the lesser i received is a loss ...
its the minute i accept that the people we love dont always love us back ...
Which i often fail to do. Because if i love someone i make him special and i needed for him to make me feel special.
It is human nature to love conditionally, so in a way you are asking is it possible to change human nature? Perhaps we can raise above it, but won't it always fundamentally be there, waiting to draw us into its pitfalls? I believe some parents unconditionally love their children, and if this is true than the possibility of unconditional love exists.

For the most part I think we love people for the gifts they bring into our lives...a selfish thing to be sure. But also we love them because we have grown to know them and in that knowing grew a familial bond and affection. Thankfully I don't spend my day trying to change other people or control them, and I do appreciate their differentness. The dilemma for me at times is UNDERSTANDING it!!!
If he exists I have not met him yet. rolling on the floor laughing People put too many strings on what they will accept or not. I seem to be the same unconditional person I have always been, but the world as we know it is changing. sigh
As a human being with flaws, all that can be done is to aspire to being a better person today than u where yesterday. To be aware on a daily basis as to your actions and spoken words, so that u cause as little harm to others as u can. wave
It's not like the movies out there in the real world but it depends as there different ways of showing unconditional love and it is usually the unsung hero/heroines and not just well the public domain figures thumbs up
