Thread Title: MARRIAGE....."would you consider an arranged marriage and how and who would arrange it"

An arranged marriage? Now that sounds like a good idea to me....! Arranging my own were disastrous mistakes.... so maybe someone who knows me would have made a better choice, for me! But I think here we need doting parents who realy know their children, after having carefully noted all their particular characteristics, and matched them to the partner... using their own mariage longevity experience. As long as its done with sincere love for the couple, backed up with experience, and they be nurtured thru the initial stages.

AH yes, Intuition I have developed.... but its taken scores of years, and a few good disasters.... so now I got the intuition... looking for someone to practice it on.
Agree about the parents story. What was said previously was "Devoted Parents"! Like certain ethnic groups used to have.. dont know if that exists anymore.... their arranged marriages. My folks certainly couldnt have arranged anything for me.... two Aquarians!!!
But I followed their example... got the divorce, got a few more too... just for good experience, now my family look to me for divorce lawyer expertise! Who needs lawyers anyway? Just experience!!
But maybe, if there was a real professional company who did the CJ Jung type of thing and realy took it serious, and gave guarantees ?.... would that work? ... maybe..?

"I do believe that the idea behind a so-called "arranged marriage" is for the couple to be evenly matched, to produce children who will inherit the talents of the two families.. ie. artistic or musical families, families talented in law, medicine, farming, whatever. Also LUST is not involved, so there would more stability in the relationship... and the children benefit from this, having two parents joined in a mutual agreement for the benefit of the FAMILY.... not their own particular yen for that season. (?)"

With modern society they do it indirectly by telling u how ur neighbour is well bahaved, respective, good grades in school etc. I think even in those arranged marriages in most societies today don't work. I knew of lately of a case where a girl escaped from her rich husband from S. Arabia. My opinion is with live in different times and the whole world is changing as its doing with climatic changes.
At the same time through friends people meet and there is attraction un like, with arranged marriages of some ethics groups i consider the parents only acted for their own interest, as they got the dowry without considering the emotional needs of the couples.
At the same time there was advantage of such marriage both families knew themselves well, and the mother-in laws issues were already solved, as she had already accepted her daughter-in law.
I drink about .... dunno... it varies ... depending on what it is .....could be 5 litres, or 25ml ..... a day ....... most of it in water.....
