How Far Is Too Far?

Maybe it's me but the first thing I do when I come across an attractive man (yes, looks do matter) is look to see where they live. More often than not we don't even share the same country code. It's got me wondering...how far is too far? When I lived in the USA anyone outside of Palm Beach County was too far. Today, I live in a region of Italy that most people have never even heard of. The chances of finding anyone in this region are, well, non-existent. So I think "no biggie", after all, I'd have to drive at least 2 1/2 hours if I wanted to eat a Big Mac so why wouldn't I drive that to meet a man? But would I go to Torino or Milano? What about France, Switzerland, and Germany?

So, how far is too far?

giovy, it depends on circumstances, sometimes people really like each other very much, but family ties, children, come into play to stifle what could be a great relationship, other times people are free, to up stakes and one party move to live with the other, no where is too far, if circumstances will cooperate, its luck sometimes, meeting someone special at the right time, but its heartbreak to meet someone special, at the wrong time, no matter where they live. sad flower

I would drive AWAY from a McDonalds.
Burger King & Taco Bell are somewhat better.
Surely, there must be some good Italian restaurants there.

Geez. I should have never mentioned that Big Mac...it seems to have distracted most of you from the subject at hand!

It's a hormone thing. Seriously. The efforts you are prepared to make to be with someone who turns you on depend on the state of your hormones at the time. If they are really fired up you'll go to the end s of the earth. But I agree with Jim, the REAL mystery, especially for someone living in Italy, is the Macdonalds... Why?

Can't you people get over the fact that I mentioned McDonalds? The statement was "I'd have to drive at least 2 1/2 hours if I wanted to eat a Big Mac". Would it make you all feel better if I told you that I did drive 2 1/2 hours to buy cranberry sauce so that I could make a real Thanksgiving dinner?
