Some people !
About an hour ago I headed out to a local fruit & vegetable market to get some fresh fruit & veggies. On the way there, I'm travelling south on route 1, which is perhaps one of the busiest highways in the country.
It's got 8 lanes (4 in each direction) and there are traffic lights, just to make the traffic worse.
Well, at one light sitting right in the very middle of the very busy intersection in the left middle lane is a woman in a green VW. I figure that her car probably won't start.
I'm in the left (fast lane) and am the third car waiting for the light. Just to my right in the next lane (her lane) is another woman attempting to move to my lane to get around the woman, who was in the middle of the intersection.
People coming from the side street are honking their horns at this woman. The light changes and I go past the intersection and move my car lane by lane over to a shoulder on the right side. I put my flashers on and run back about 40 yards to the woman in the intersection, dodging oncoming cars.
I knock on her window and say, "we got to get this car out of the intersection, before your car gets smashed and both of us get killed." In a Jamacian accent, she say's "where ?".
I point and tell her, "you see where my car is, I'll push it there". She say's "OK" and with that, she starts the car.
I say, "oh, the car starts, well drive it over there then."
Well, the light changed and cars are flying past her on both sides, beeping their horns. She tells me, that she's "afraid to drive it" and asks me to do so. I say, "OK, hurry up and slide over." So, she does and I hop in and drive it forward and then to the right to the shoulder just behind my car.
I ask her, "did the car stall ?"
She says, no, that the woman behind her hit her."
I look all over her car and see no dents, dings, nor scratches and exclaim "where ?"
She retorts that she wants to make sure that the woman behind her doesn't leave and she goes running back to the intersection.
So, I take off in my car and go to the fruit & veggie market calling her names (to myself) that I won't type here.
On my way back 15 minutes later, I see that her car is gone.
That idiot was in the intersection risking her car and her life,
likely because the woman behind her lightly tapped her bumper back at the light.
She is VERY lucky that several people were not killed, including herself and me. Here I thought, that I was helping a person who was stuck. Instead, I risked my life and wasted my time & effort on a jerk !

The response I would probably get would be...
"what car do you drive ?"
I swear, I gave you the ENTIRE conversation in the blog above.
but i'm still glad you stopped. i was tboned at 60 miles an hour last month, two complete 360's in my jeep, and i was so happy that the man in the truck behind me stopped and helped me till the ambulance arrived. and i hope next time you see someone 'stuck', that you don't think about this one, and stop and help them.
