My son made me laugh

Today my son came to the kitchen as I was fixing a nice lunch for us & said "Ok Mom, are you buttering me up for something??" rolling on the floor laughing I guess he has gotten used to the blue mood I was in for so long that he had forgotten what it is to see me smiling & laughing!! flirty I explained to him that I have picked myself up & not letting all the "Bad" stuff keep me sad anymore. Needless to say we had a great lunch, laughing & talking about the good times. I guess I never saw that my mood was so upseting to my son. He is an adult & I never thought that he "saw" how sad I was for so long. Never underestimate your kids!!
The reason I am happy??? I took a good long hard look at the lives of my friends. And for the first time in a long time I saw that I have a pretty good life on my own! Just because I do not have another person in my life does not make me less of a person. I am the happy fat woman with a great life!! bouquet

There is nothing more wonderful than to have a child. I have a beautiful daughter of 22yrs. She has become my best friend and we live quite close so see each other often. On Friday as we met for lunch she put her arm through mine and said 'I love knowing you, you're comforting' 'Like an old comfort blanket?' I said. 'Yes, just like my old dabu' (that was the name of her comfort blanket when she was small)
I felt soft & floppy inside.
Okay she costs me a fortune and I don't care. I brought her up alone, and she has turned out to be a polite,caring young lady and I am proud to be her mother.
By the way, please don't call yourself fat-you are a lovely person, and so nice to know, I'm sure. I wish I knew you bouquet

@ m and g..u ladies are blessed to have such good kids!my sis is also a single parent and her eldest is giving her so much grief!frustrated

gannieaw, Thank you so very much. My son is my life, I too pretty much raised my son alone. His Dad was around some, but not enough for us.
I am always glad to make new friends, that is part of the reason I am on this sight. I know there is a big wonderful world out there that I will never get to see. So the internet is giving me the chance to "see" the world & meet some wonderful new people.

It's a very special feeling when a family member of your own lights up your day. A perfect smile totally reflects that special feeling. It eliminates all the sadness and worries that an individual has. It believe your son is a very special gift to you. Alway remember that you are never alone. He will alway be there for you.

It's been 10 long year since I first saw my mother. I wish I knew how special it would have been like right next to her.
It's never too late to put a smile on the faces of very special people in our lives.
